i missed the first hour of stream so i didnt have the full context of how bad of a time wayne was having with amongus rng, getting imposter exactly once after 3 hours of gameplay and that one round being over in under 60 seconds is so demoralizing
(copy pasted from my comment on sawsily's upload of this) so i mentioned this on stream and wayne read it but just to illustrate how absurd his (un)luck is: the chance for getting imposter is 2 out of 11 or ~18% (the average across all rounds is actually a little higher since there were like 4 rounds played with 10 players but that doesn't change much) the chance for getting engineer is 1 out of 11 or ~9% BUT there is a 50% for there to just not be an engineer at all so the actual chance for getting engineer is 1 out of 22 (1 out of 11 divided by 2) or roughly 4.5% (the average chance is lower since there were rounds where extra roles were disabled) in the 15 rounds played wayne was imposter once, and engineer twice EVEN THOUGH it's more unlikely to be an engineer then being an imposter, and he got it TWICE his luck is just that bad or there's something wrong with among us (also iirc last time rtvs played among us trog got twice as many imposter games as wayne so that's something to note) please correct me if i got anything wrong here, i just did this in like 10 mins because i was bored and sleep deprived

And this is a somewhat frequent problem I've seen in groups that regularly play Amogus, there's always some people who are cursed and blessed. I don't know if this is a problem with being truly random or the system is actually just using broken weighting, but either way it's genuinely a longstanding problem with the game.

or even just mod the game to adjust imposter chances every round, like each time a player gets imposter their chance drops by 10% or something, and that amount gets divided up and added on to the chance of the players who weren't imposter that round. that way, a player like recks who keeps rolling imposter will eventially end up with the lowest chance of being imposter, while someone like wayne who hardly ever rolls imposter will eventually have the highest chance. and then those chances will rebalance themselves over time. so not "true" randomness, but a hell of a lot more fair than whatever system vanilla among uses.

When that happens you could easily buy each person in RTVS their Quest 2 so you can all play Along Us VR, and maybe the AI is self aware, I know you like to play games like that

If you have a decent desktop machine (which most of RTVS probably do), just get a regular VR headset. Assuming you don't care about the fact they're both made by Facebook, I genuinely cannot overstate how much better the Rift S is for this purpose. Far cheaper, far better, far simpler to use. IMO if you're not going all-out for a valve index, just get a Rift S.
