- How's my dear UA-cam community? I hope you're doing great, 'cause I feel great about bringing you this new synthwave cover to the channel. Also, this will be the last synthwave cover of 2024, but not the last one💜 I want to thank the viewer who gave me the idea 🤗 since I didn't know the song at all, but once I heard it in full, I knew that it would be great if it had a synthwave version. So I made it :3
I really hope you like the result, 'cause I wanted to preserve that intense and disturbing vibe from the original song, therefore, I decided to make a more ambient but enjoyable version of the song. So without further ado, I present to you my version of "98.7" by Aj Dispirito, a not so well known song that I know you will like 😉

You did a excellent job at keeping the intense and disturbing vibe from the original. 98.7 is in my opinion one of the most underrated tracks mainly due to being mostly ambience, glad that you gave your own twist on the track whilst keeping it as ambience. Can't wait for your next covers, Murder Drones or other! 💜💛

It was a 50/50 process. I mean, I used an already existing AI-made picture of Uzi, but I made the landscape and combined them into one.

Someone *is* indeed goona make their own album of MD soundtracks but in the 80s, ngl, your choices, the instruments, the tempos, the building up and that all just in the 80s style, I would chose your own album over the original one, really.

This gave me an idea for a DnD campaign. I am a sci fi writer though, so I do not often do the usual fantasy themes. One of the settings in my universe (that is on the surface level of my iceberg) is a city called Filodox, just up the Sagittarius arm of the galaxy in what is called the "Sagitta-A" region. There is a lot of strange goings-on in this region with its high concentration of anomalies, and I already had an idea for an eldritch horror story for this city, somewhat like a rift is opened through an experiment to a hellish kind of other reality that causes a catastrophic event for players to try and fix. This story would lead up to that, in a more subtle kind of cosmic horror. For the past few years, a plasma field left over from a supernova millions of years ago was intercepted by this system, but behaves very strangely. Cancer rates have been increasing, and there has been intense electrical interference, but all of this is to be expected, except for the city wide nightmares and premonitions of dread that are consistent between most citizens. Not only that, but the expected effects of the object are also increasing. Slowly, but exponentially. Players might be sent to investigate the anomalies manifesting in this plasma field, as the effects get worse and worse throughout the campaign, eventually blurring the boundaries of reality to such an extent that the final act might involve some more eldritch horror with a strange kind of black hole or something.
