Tate shows how sparring should be done from an experienced fighter vs a random person wanting to fight. Compare it to Strickland vs Sneako. Obviously tate could have beat them bad early, but that would have deterred them from ever wanting to pursue fighting in the future. A good trainer in sparring shows you his skill while also teaching you new things to keep you interested in wanting to get better.
With Strickland it was also about the disdain of manosphere grifter influencer talking trash and the negative influence of these grifting coomers, pimps and cucks that ties to the good and truth they do as excuse for all the other crap.
If a pro fighter would fuck me up like Strickland did to sneako it would not deterred me from fighting lol would be the opposite , would mean I got to get my shit together and get better cause clearly I wouldn’t be shit

@@ace2red same it’s insane how much cardio I need I’m at 153 at 5,6 my coach told me to go down to 135 to fight at that division my hands would be much faster but I want to keep all my muscles so I don’t look like a twig at that weight is a slow process

Just a friendly advice : Your hands have to go back to your chin after every shot. After a jab they need to go back in a straight line, not falling down if that make sense. This way you are making your self too vulnerable.
I really love these type of videos. I think the way you build a mindset like Tate's and start applying it to life is this:
- Find 5 or more shorts like this
- Watch it on repeat for 15m - 45m
- Do this everyday for 1 - 2 weeks
After doing this, a few things happen:
- You start to really understand what he’s saying
- You start saying it in your head all of the time
- You start to believe it more and more and over time, you start doing it yourself
If you listen to a video about discipline on repeat day after day for some time, you start to be disciplined. It’s really that simple
If you’re struggling with applying the things to life, I think this is the best way anyone can do it.

I can tell you have good intentions but you are wrong on some points. First of all, you will not get disciplined by simply watching videos about discipline no matter if you watch it every day all day or whatever. The only thing that will improve your discipline is doing things you don't want to do and do them without exception, no matter if you are tired, hungry or any other excuse you can come up with.
On paper it is simple but the hard part is execution. Your confidence will improve but not because you "fool yourself" by "watching videos everyday" and "talking to yourself". The confidence comes because 1) you do hard things everyday thus improving both your discpline AND phyiscal capability and when you experience that you can do stuff you couldn't do earlier, you will feel more confident.
If you simply just watch videos about discipline you will feel good while watching but the long term effects aren't there. The single deciding factor is you doing it, execution. And 1-2 weeks is not enough, lol. You need to do it.. for *years*. However you do it one day at a time and before you know it, a week has passed, a month has passed, then 6 months, a year, etc. Suddenly it is a habit and when you don't do it you will feel bad, this is a sign that your self discipline has improved.

The way he spars reminds me of how I sparred when I first started. I knew I could hit someone, but I was afraid that when I did, they would retaliate and try to knock me out. I can only imagine there's a good bit of fear with Tate being your first sparring partner in years.
