I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago, and i have to say that i absolutely love it! it’s so hard to find good videos of Tennessee and nature and i have to say that this channel does an amazing job on informing viewers of what’s new and what’s out there. keep on doing what you’re doing!
Laura they are the best ambassadors for the East Tennessee region I’ve ever seen. I learn so much when I watch, and enjoy, their videos … and I’m from Tennessee! This channel is the best!
i guess it is quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?

Definitely adding this to our list of trails for next year. Thank you so much!
It was nice to see the Avent cabin trail with the full summer foliage it does look different than the one where you went early in the spring with wildflowers. Cute new headband look you are sporting there Dawn.

Beautiful scenery! I just don’t know how anyone (family) lived to far out from anything or anyone! It’s sooo secluded and so remote! What would happen if they had an emergency and needed help or got sick?!😳

Thank you for your kind words 🙏
@@yankeeinthesouth Have a wonderful day happy trails and God bless you on your journeys 😃🙏
I enjoyed this hike and your visit to the Avent. I kept waiting for you to show the information about the cabin and the guest book. Glad you showed it again. You would think that there would be some sort of container to put all of the information in to protect the pages from the critters. I would hate for the pages to be eaten away.
Thanks Nancy
Your videos are the greatest , places to see in the Smokies , and places to eat. Thanks
Thanks HistoryGuy
If you do this hike when there are no leaves on the tress you can see the cabin from Jake's Creek Trail which definitely makes things easier if you're hiking this for the first time. This is definitely worth the trip if you're in the Elkmont area and have a couple hours to do a short hike.
Thanks Brain
Very cool. Will definitely check it out when we go back to the smokies!
Thanks Joshua

Cool. This Walk appears similar to the Walker Sister's cabin experience. We look forward to trying this one the next time we go to Gatlinburg.

Haunted cabin. So fabulous. I hope to get there one day !
Really good job y'all...although I don't think lunch on the porch would be such a good idea on account of the bears.
It was a nice thought though, Dawn.

Will, sounds like you need to carry a tape measure and start measuring the bridges you cross to see which one is the longest. I enjoyed you hike out to the Avent Cabin. I believe I would love to hike out to the cabin sometime.

The hike was really nice until you got to the narrow path. Hmmm nope, not for me. All I see is poison ivy. I get it really bad. Lol!

Someone needs to take some of those clear plastic protectors to put those papers in
Great ideal thanks Lonnie
Have you and Dawn ever come close to an encounter with a bear? I like watching these videos but I am always worried you will step on a snake.I like Dawns hair pulled back from her face, it looks good like that.I am glad everyone takes care of the cabin and it's contents.
Yes we've seen bears before they look at you and run the other way. Thank you Fits
Hey Will have you and Dawn signed your names in that book at the cabin?
Yes every time we go we do thank you Tammy
That’s a buckeye. Chestnuts not longer grow anywhere. There was a blight that killed all the chestnut trees. They are trying to make a blight resistant tree no luck so far. At one time chestnut trees grew limb to limb from South Georgia to Maine. There was chestnuts for deer, squirrels, hogs, lumber to build houses, barns. The dominant tree East of Mississippi
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for ❤️. People don’t realize how many chestnut trees there were in eastern forests. I read that a squirrel could go from South Georgia to Northern Maine and NEVER get out of a chestnut tree. In Virginia l hiked on AT there was a section we went thru that was all dead chestnut trees. They don’t rot, they were laying on the ground, the AT went thru them. A path 3’ wide for couple hundred yards. You couldn’t reach the tops of them. The loss of them has been terrible.
Just wondering if you and Dawn have ever seen a bear while hiking? That’s what I’m afraid of.
We do see them
Will, the person who wrote in the cabin's book that he was hunting snakes and had fun meant that he found snakes in the cabin. There are snakes in those abandoned cabins. I've seen snake skins. John, the ghost hunter, found several snakes skins when he visited that cabin. Be careful.
John is a great guy and good friend thank you In Constant Pursuit
@@yankeeinthesouth Yes, I enjoyed his video of his trip to the Avent cabin. John seems like a nice guy.
We'll be back in G/PF in about three weeks and will probably visit the Avent cabin. Really appreciate your detail on how to find the path to the cabin.
Wonderful video guys ! But please, don't eat those nuts 10:14 . They are poisonous "Buckeyes". They can be fatal to humans .
Thanks for sharing Mountain Guru
I never hiked before
Thanks you all
do u ever come across any paw paw trees
Not yet thank you Will
