I laughed when Checo said he could hear his country cheering for him as he was racing! That must have felt great! What a great moment for F1 history and Mexico.
I laughed when he said tires were getting better after Hamilton started to complain about them 😂
Possibly the best race of his career so far! I reckon this meant the world to him regardless of missing out on the overtake on Hamilton. Great race from all of the top 10 and well deserved points for all of them!

Stroll is going through a lot of pain.
Just weird that his Raceengineer showed some emotions or did they finally replaced him?

Edit: Well then they were wrong on the commentary yesterday
Max's decision to late brake that way and lead into the 1st corner without having heated his tyres much shows how much confident he is about his skills. Really impressive! That's what we want to see from the upcoming world champ! MAX MAX MAX SUPER MAX!
Yes, but also: he practiced it on the formation lap... He has foresight. Covers all his bases.
Remember that overtake on Spa around the outside of Nasr? He practiced that with friends in the home simulator...
He is dedicated and prepared beyond anything I have ever seen.

He's using his own Setup since Turkey. He's found his own way to drive the RB that works for him now. 3 podiums in 3 races. Not a coincidence.

Lamao and really sad for him at the same time
At least he got a cool helmet and goggles as a prize.

Sad for Bottas, the incident with Ricciardo destroyed his race. To be fair, Bottas should have defended against Verstappen aggressively. Max is fighting for world title and has to be risk avere where as Bottas has nothing to lose anymore as his seat is soon gone.
In comparison, Verstappens fastest lap was 1:18:999 when Bottas did 1:17:774. It is not that he is slow it is rather something else.

If you clearly observe the start, max played it superbly. He acted like as if he was going inside, mercedes tried to block him then he suddenly pulled out to the racing line outside. Brilliantly done 🔥
One of the oldest expressions in racing is, "You can't win the race on the first lap, but you can certainly lose it.". IMO, Max absolutely won the race on the first lap! Underrated for what ? He just put the Alpha Tauri where the car belong. He drive well, but the Alpha Tauri is 3rd to 5th best on the grid depend on the track. Here the Alpha Tauri was far more superior to McLaren & Ferrari. That's not a surprise drive. He just did his job. Clearly, Alpha Tauri should have play for the 3rd constructor championship this year, if Gasly didn't make some mistake (bahrein 6th, Monza 6th and crash into ricciardo etc...) and the team only have 1 competent driver.

Wey se siente bonito cuando dicen que por primera vez hay un mexicano en el podio del México GP! Muy bien por Checo 👏🏻😭
Perez leading a lap at home and getting a podium, is all the positive energy I need for the week.
Imagine telling someone after the Spanish Grand Prix this year, with Hamilton having won three of the first four races of the season, that he would win only 2 of the next 14 races.
As a Dutchman, i was hoping for 1max,2 Checo and 3 Lewis so Max could give him P1 at the end.
Still a great result tho 😁✌️
Hermosa
Well if you told me that he would get a slower car as well. I would agree
@@lewis.9770 cry. max owns Fraudmilton.
@@lewis.9770 thank you he even said himself no everyone sees how quick red bull is because Pérez nearly beat him
Hearing the roar of everyone cheering for Checo is just amazing
Shame Max's toying with Bottas attempts to take fastest lap point, didnt make into your highlights.
If you look at verstappens onboard from the last few laps its hiliarious
@@thijspiersma9308 where can you watch that
@@samiel1984 I saw that on the Dutch television "formule 1 cafe" hiliarious indeed lol
Even better, this channel gave it its own special segment.
That double overtake round the outside into turn 1 was legendary. The race was over then and there. Super Max!
That's the third double podium in a row for Red Bull Honda! Great to see the constructors championship fight is all open again. And seeing Checo celebrating his first home race podium with a Mexican flag in front off his home crowd after fighting with lewis was just amazing.
Getting him blue flagged while trying to set the fastest lap was ultimate trolling.
Yup ,constructors within a points reach
Only 1 Point Separates them
Go Honda go RedBull 🙏
Congratulations to Max Verstappen , Sergio Perez & Pierre Gasly for finishing top 5 in the Mexican F1 GP 2021!
This RB victory, mexican crowd and the home hero deserve a netflix episode
Oh dont worry. Netflix is gonna dedicate a whole episode to this guy since hes a big draw to the america crowd (north, central, and south)
cancel netflix
Red Bull comebacks 🔴🐂🔝🇦🇹🇳🇱🇲🇽
Honda got it's first race win in Mexico
@@johnmcglasson3287 you dont enjoy it. Thats ok. But why not give other people their chance to enjoy it? Living by a "i dont like it so it must be destroyed" philosophy will drive us into another dark age.
As a Mexican, I'm glad that although Checo didn't win, he made podium in Mexico. What a Formula 1 driver to represent us Mexicans
I'm not mexican, but i'm still glad he got to celebrate with the whole country 👏 what a performance
You partied as hard as "we" did when Max took the win in Zantvoort in may😊. I so hoped Perez would at least get to the podium here and he did! It was an absolute joy to watch. Specially his father😊.
It must have been amazing to be Mexican during this weekend. First Canelo becomes the first undisputed super middleweight champion ever, and then Perez gets a podium in his home country! Incredible stuff.
it's a pity he was sooo close to get into 2ºnd position
@@eswarravi5918 Canelo isn't undisputed. He has 1 loss. That loss was to Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Who is here after Abu Dhabi?
Me
Olaaa! Perez is a legend and an animal! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🇲🇽
The initial late brake of Max is outstanding
Enginer: Tires are ok, fuel is ok, battery is ok, catch him!
Perez: Is the motor ok?
Engineer: Everything's ok!!! wait...
I am afraid the drink...
You can drain the battery but you can't drain your drink
Checo is ok too, dont forget 😁
That crowd energy is incredible! What an amazing experience for Checo to get on the podium for his home crowd. We’re witnessing a truly incredible season this year
372,000 total weekend attendance!!!!!!!
After Abu Dhabi im only saying Checo is a leyend
That's what perez was trying today 😢
I feel bad for Yuki. He had a really strong weekend only to have it derailed by some bad luck
Strong how? We didnt really see much of it with the penalty and the crash. None of it were his fault, but he didnt get to show his ware this weekend.
Karma to yuki for almost ruining max at COTA and for messing up checo and max this race.
In Q2 sector 2 and 3, Tsunoda was faster than Gasly in Q3
@@avicii6379 yuki wasn’t fast. He crashed lol!
@@richardmcdouglas9546 you obviously didnt watch the quali sessions.
That start from Max is perfect. Just perfect.
The start was alright. Bottas gifted him the grippy outside line. His braking into turn 1 sealed the deal. Look at how Ferrari drivers defended the outside line in 2019. Honestly, Bottas effed this up big time.
@@glidertastic5778 yea. I wonder what he was thinking
@@glidertastic5778 I mean there was an obvious chance of slip stream and then he got tagged by Ricciardo , not much he could do?
Verstappen drove like a true champion today
So did Hamilton
@@fk4410 Die hard Merc fans, get in the bin, 7 consecutive titles are enough, let others win as well
@@fk4410 yeah his drive is underrated.Keeping Checo behind in a slower car for all those laps is not easy plus imagine the pressure.
1:46 a legendary moment for mazepin
Verstappen outbraking both Mercedes into Turn 1 was so unreal to watch. Max was already significantly ahead before the apex and did not really run wide at all. Lewis also did a similar thing to Valtteri, though he was on the inside.
Valterri was just awful in that start, left the door wide open for Max. Was so weird. It looked like match fixing in football🤣
@@jamieasintoye4322 what is he supposed to do? Its a long straight into t1 Hamilton and max were always going to be alongside the track is easily wide enough for 3 cars he covered the inside together with Hamilton if max goes around the outside he goes around the outside nothing short of ramming him off stops that there. They could also have covered off the outside but then max outbreaks them on the inside and is able to push them wide opening the door for perez with a much better line into 2 and 3.
@@jamieasintoye4322 agree Bottas was supposed to defend the position, at least make it hard...Hamilton did it with Cheko in the final lap
@@XyrianHD he could have positioned himself in a way that would close a door for max mate. Valterri clowned there. Even a child could see that
@@jamieasintoye4322 The track is just too wide to keep Max behind. So I don't think it was Bottas's fault. Bad luck.
