Looks like I messed up how storm and cascade works, so you won't get to cascade multiple times but the cascaded spell does add to your storm count for Throes and is a repeatable effect every turn which can help with the actual spell you want to give storm Let's be honest though, y'all just wanna be evil and give expropriate storm LOL
Don't forget stuff that untaps lands when it resolves, like snap, rewind, frantic search, etc, since you can tap and float mana in response to each target if you storm with them.
frantic search + underworld breach = hellbent, sure its -1 card from graveyard per loop but you get to go 2 cards deep per card in your graveyard and +1 or 2 mana per loop if you have lands that untaps for more than one.
I can see how this can be confused in the video but I don't specifically relate those targets to GSZ, just that in those colors you can get those This section is about tutors highlighted by GSZ
I'm questioning the value of Haste to get Storm hitting the same turn. Sure, you get the surprise hit, but how much mana are you going to have left over to cast something meaningful, or to build up a higher storm count? Seems better to try to protect her and have full mana to work with next turn. I think if I were working on building her, i'd actually be doing something that vaguely resembles a Voltron deck, but with a spellslinger subtheme. Because of the combination of trying to protect her and the value you can get from equipments that give things like Double Strike...or Sword of Feast and Famine to be able to tap out for a storm count, then have all your lands untapped for your big spell to get storm. So a fair bit of my deck would probably be about spells that can tutor up equipments.
Nature's Will untaps all your lands when you hit. Cast a bunch of cantrips, give her double strike, hit, untap your lands, cast big spell, profit. So glad shes in temur colors.
You can still kinda cascade: Use Slimes Against Humanity. Since you're casting a sorcery it gets storm count number of tokens each time you cast, so once you have a source of lots of mana and draw you can basically just keep casting a silly number of slime tokens, more so with token doublers...Even more so with +1/+1 tokens.
Play Alluren in a creature deck and play out to timewarp, ponder, Brainstorm, Etc. you can make storm count and play out a cantrip as a draw 4. you play a few spells that allow you to counter for free and keep the deck very tight towards creature combo. You can even foodchain in list. You can even give double strike so you can do storm inbetween first strike damage and the regular combat damage.
Underworld Breach would be great in this deck, and if we're already running Breach and Brain Freeze we might as well print off a copy of LED too to complete the combo
I need a massive storm off with Lightning Bolt at least once and I'll be happy. Gimmie like a bunch of combats, double strike, and like storm count 4 with 2-3 combats. Storm storm storm storm storm storm. Lol
Feels like a narset kind of deck. If it manages to attack/hit you win the game by having 5 turns. I was really hyped and realized that it was gonna be BUSTED with extra turn😅
Extra combat steps too, shes got viglence so if you can swing in against one person with multiple Attacks. Druids repository or natures will to untao your lands. Retrace or Underworld breach to cast spells from graveyard yeah. Storms an Omega level mutant for a reason
I don't think any of the blue creatures you mentioned can be tutored with Green Sun's Zenith.. There's a reason why it's called Green Sun's Zenith.. Reading the card explains the card..
I can see how this can be confused in the video but I don't specifically relate those targets to GSZ, just that in those colors you can get those This section is about tutors highlighted by GSZ Appreciate the sarcasm :)
I'm wondering if this will be in the main Marvel set, and be Modern legal; I've considered cards that assist with arriving at said storm spell: - Assault Strobe is only 1cc for double strike - Arena of Glory can help with haste - Birgi can 'sit' on mana for post combat - As Foretold can help with post combat casting/non cc spells - Beseech the Mirror can get anything, even Sakashima the Impostor/Savor the Moment - And of course, in tribute to you, casting Surgical, hit with Storm, Archive Trap This deck should be a fast sellout.
Extra Combats work better than Extra Turns, if you can build up the Storm Count. Bear Umbra, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Nature's Will let you untap, to keep the Storm rolling
Build that commander on extra combat steps that gives more storm on the next spell. Imagine an extra turn spell with 3 castet spells bevor and 3 instances of storm on it.😊
the hard part for me is to NOT have it just turn into "here's my hand I win". the mechanic of storm is so strong to the point where idk how the heck i'm going to make a build that can be played at a more mid power table
im gonna be honest i am contemplating just doin some still kind of generic temur deck and dam even randomly casting a skyshroud claim with storm 2, funtionally go up 2 mana and just have 6 mana more for the next turns either to cast more spells or just do dumb temur stuff. also calling it now shrieking drake going up in price, 1mana add one storm count as many times as you have mana seems interresting tho very telegraphed. i'll be greedy enough to cast that drake like 5 times before combat and then storm 5 a skyshroud claim to get 10 new mana and then play my relevent creatures. EF it time to mana geyser 3 times. is your crackle with power not enough with X=3 but don't have mana for X=4 cast any spell and give that bugger storm. hell even open the way seems really cool.
tbh i'm torn on this commander. It looks to me like it's forced into green/blue/red goodstuffs decks. Something that can function without the commander but if the commander connects will be devastating. However, because she needs to be in play, and needs to connect makes it extremely telegraphed and thus very easy to interact with and counter. Green ramp to enable building a storm count easily, alongside red for finishing blows and blue for protection has a lot of potential. so building her without just normal storm lines that work even without her will be difficult. I guess maybe I'm not seeing a good way to get her through to get combat damage very easily unless given unlockable from blue. Which seems the most reliable way to connect, and then instant speed storm. or sorcery storm post damage step for a tutor to fully draw out a combo or something. as a cheap green tutor to grab any creature, even stormed 2-3 times could be devastating. not to mention the innate storm synergy in izzet colors. idk, it just seems like you may have too much going on to make this work at least in commander games. Where often times you don't want your plans split up too much or it becomes unrealistic to execute. given how much draw, ramp, and interaction is already needed. Leaving you with roughly 20-30ish cards for the core of the deck itself.
i will Solve the equation - Storm count: 6, on my double strike damage i will pyretic ritual, Storm count: 7, I will cast Jaya's immolating inferno x = 19, then i will Overpowering attack................
Storm (here-on known as "the card") gives your spells Storm (here-on known as Storm). Copying a spell with Storm ends up exactly the same as copying any other spell, you'll just get one extra copy. This is because Storm is a cast trigger, and won't do anything when copied. (Technically, the copies of every spell with Storm made by that storm trigger also have Storm themselves, they just don't do anything because they were copied, not cast)
There’s no secret, it’s literally just “hit someone, cast a spell, probably do it again” or “just keep hitting people until your next spell has Storm, Storm, Storm” (gods forbid you have Grapeshot)
There’s a misconception going around that Storm is going to be anything but a cEDH Commander, and I want to put that immediately to rest: if you’re looking to play Storm, you better be ready to play cEDH. She is NOT A CASUAL COMMANDER, and there will be no feasible way to build her as such. Giving storm to spells that weren’t balanced for it is too strong to be allowed outside of cEDH: it only takes one hit, from a 4 mana Flying Vigilance 3/4, to immediately end the game. Sure, she does to removal, but a 4 CMC Commander with Flying that cannot be allowed to connect sounds like a miserable deck to play against, AND to play as, because people are either going to immediately counter or remove her… or you win. That’s called cEDH. Also, no shot are you running any of the storm spells in Storm, they’re all garbage! Storm Spells are only good because they innately have the Storm printed on them, their actual printed effect is ludicrously overcosted and terrible. 2 mana for a Mill 3, or 1 targeted damage? They’re dead cards in Storm, because she gives GOOD CARDS Storm! Imagine looking in your hand and seeing a Brainfreeze at Storm count 3, instead of a Tasha’s Hideous Laughter? Come on, dude: you can do better card analysis than this.
Looks like I messed up how storm and cascade works, so you won't get to cascade multiple times but the cascaded spell does add to your storm count for Throes and is a repeatable effect every turn which can help with the actual spell you want to give storm
Let's be honest though, y'all just wanna be evil and give expropriate storm LOL
Play more magic?
You can use Daring Discovery and Hit the Mother Lode, though. Maybe Walk with the Ancestors and Contest of Claws if you’re feeling spicy

Green Sun's Zenith only grabs green creatures. You can't grab Displacer Kitten or Spell Seeker.
I can see how this can be confused in the video but I don't specifically relate those targets to GSZ, just that in those colors you can get those

I want to give her double strike and storm a combat trick in between strikes for lethal commander damage
I might be wrong, but does throes of chaos actually works that way? Because cascade triggers on cast and storm just copies.
I think you're right, I've been brewing this wrong 😭😭😭
Underworld Breach would be great in this deck, and if we're already running Breach and Brain Freeze we might as well print off a copy of LED too to complete the combo
I need a massive storm off with Lightning Bolt at least once and I'll be happy. Gimmie like a bunch of combats, double strike, and like storm count 4 with 2-3 combats. Storm storm storm storm storm storm. Lol
I'm gonna go with a tokens build I think. Scute Swarm, Second Harvest, Impact Tremors
Quick question: Would ceaseless tempest triggering twice off of double strike matter? Considering both would trigger off of your next spell.
They would stack... So with DS your next spell would have "Storm" "Storm" allowing it to copy x(2)
I think giving Storm to extra Combat steps is better than extra turns, as your storm count keeps increasing.
Feels like a narset kind of deck.

Aluren-Shrieking Drake for unli Storm
slime agaibst humanity is what im doing woth this deck when she comes out
Extra Combats work better than Extra Turns, if you can build up the Storm Count.

Storm count of 2 or 1 and hit with doublestrike, cast Finale of Devastation, get 2 copies, get purpheros, kiki-jiki, and pestermite. Win the game.
Build that commander on extra combat steps that gives more storm on the next spell.

FYI: Cascade does not work with storm. You do not cast storm copies, cascade will not trigger.
i will Solve the equation - Storm count: 6, on my double strike damage i will pyretic ritual, Storm count: 7, I will cast Jaya's immolating inferno x = 19, then i will Overpowering attack................
So for retrace, the card goes back to the graveyard after resolution?
How does copying work with Storm? I’m new to the storm archetype

Lets just lean to the ''destroy target lands spells'' storming those add in thousand year storm also stella lee spice action
I'm looking to storm out Tasha's Hideous Laughter XD
i will put goblin game in my storm deck and be killed by my group
Really like your channel, but there is so much wrong in this video :( please make a revised version
There’s no secret, it’s literally just “hit someone, cast a spell, probably do it again” or “just keep hitting people until your next spell has Storm, Storm, Storm” (gods forbid you have Grapeshot)
First! Hyped for this video
Warp World. I see myself out.
I want to make a wheel deck with her
