Watch videos 316, 317 and 318. = 316 is the pouring medium, 317 is how to make the cell Activator and 318 shows how to mix the paints using Amsterdam paint.
The earrings are absolutely gorgeous. Could you make those patterns on acrylic paint paper and let it dry and then cut out the shapes to apply on the earrings? Would that work too?
Are those sublimation earring blanks? Those are the only plastic ones I have found on amazon. If not, could you please put the link in your description?
Sure and thank-you! First Layer you put on is Interior Semi Gloss house paint, I use Glidden White. Next you will need to mix a pouring medium PM which consists of 2 cups of deep base UNTINTED SEMI GLOSS paint from either Behr or Valspar…add 1 cup of JoSonja High Gloss Varnish, once you mix it, let it sit overnight. The next day mix about an inch of my mixed PM to a plastic container and then add 2-3 drops squeezed from Amsterdam paint mix. Repeat for every color you need. The PM will make about 9 colors. Next step you will need to make the cell activator, use Australian Floetrol and Amsterdam paint. I use 9 tablespoons of the Floetrol to 3 tablespoons of white or black paint. After you have removed one side of the earrings backing, paint on the side without the paper layered with white base coat, 2 or 3 colors and top with the cell activator. Then using a straw blow on the cell activator. Leave to dry…our house always has air condition on so it dries overnight. The next day, remove the backing, the one not painted, clean up,the sides with fine sandpaper. Watch my other videos are how to do it in 3 parts. Video 143, 144 and 145 have fun.
A base coat Behr white, the colors are all Amsterdam paint mixed with American Floetrol, and the last drop if Black Oxide by Amsterdam mixed with Australian Floetrol.
I used plastic earrings I bought on Amazon.com, I used 24K Gold paint by DecoArt and paint by Amsterdam and Liquitex mixed with Valspar enamel paint and Liquitex Varnish. I buy them at Amazon…I’ll have them tomorrow and will do another video…you will need the following to make them, the blanks, fluid paint like Amsterdam or Liquitex basics, a house paint white semi gloss, a gallon of enamel base untinted, varnish, and Minwax. Then you will be able to do that design.
Amazon.com 168 Pieces DIY Earrings Making Kit Includes Acrylic Transparent Teardrop Earring Pendants Clear Acrylic Earring Blanks Earring Hooks and Open Jump Rings for DIY Earrings Projects and Crafts
Whatever people will buy. Depends if you use silver, or gold, or stainless steel for the hooks and rings. Consider all your costs and time. I’ve sold them for $5 to $10 a pair.
Amazon.com they have all kinds. Just search plastic or wood earrings for crafts. They’re not expensive but a lot of fun to do. Have fun if you get them from Amazon. ❤️
They are transparent. When you buy them there is a clear plastic sheet on each side, I peel off the sheet, paint on them and then a few days later remove the plastic sheet from the other side. There is no cleanup.
Dena, I have video’s that explain how to # 143 mixing the paint, 144 doing earrings, 145 finishing the earrings, also videos 174, and 204. the paints I use are Amsterdam paints mixed now with ½” of Behr Enamel deep base untinted paint, a teaspoon of JoSonja Varnish and 1/4 teaspoon of Minwax red can. The cell activator I make a lot it s 12 tablespoons of American Floetrol, 4 tablespoons of Amsterdam Black Oxide and 1 tablespoon of red Minwax. The earrings are bought on Amazon plastic and wood…hope this helps. The recipe changes according to what paint you use, the thickness of the paint and the consistency you need. Also, products change, and products hard to get. Also, after you mix each color, and the cell Activator, test it first before doing the earrings. Also, I leave money overnight before I try it…have fun!

Can you use wooden blanks, their beautiful
Yes, they sell them on Amazon
The earrings are absolutely gorgeous. Could you make those patterns on acrylic paint paper and let it dry and then cut out the shapes to apply on the earrings? Would that work too?
You would have to,glue it..however if you use E 6000 it will stick pretty well.
Use a silicone mat to lay down the design, then wait for,it to,dry and peel it off, cut it out just make sure it’s only the paint.

I bet one of those little balloon hand pumps would work as well as blowing through a straw. I would get winded after too long, plus, you know, covid!
They have small blowers, that look like a very small hair dryer. I have one but never tried it for that. I may try it
