infestedivy - I met the man who sang in Zed when it first opened in Tokyo. He said they made up the language. The reason was so everyone would have about the same experience no matter the nationality or language. So sadly this is all we have, there are no translations of these words.
I realy believe it´s not just the Soleil´s cirquish because it sounds like some languages from oriental europe! Peharps romanian or serbian languages... but cirquish is not! The cirquish is invented spontaneously in performances! Here are words that are repeated and rhymes too! I do not believe they missed such a beautiful musical work to sing without saying anything!
They caught circus gibberish where they make up their own language for the Cirque shows intentionally not giving anyone a definition or translation because they want the audience to feel the emotion behind the words
