I am a highly engaged player. I’ve been playing since launch. I’m almost done with DD7 and usually buy strike passes and battle passes. I have not unlocked a single Annihilator other than Ultimus and Surfer, obviously. I’m not spending another penny until Scopely/Boundless fixes their fucking game.

Never in my life have I played a game where there's so much animosity between the devs and their playerbase. It's absolutely un-fuckin-real. Not only do the players of this game hate their devs for being habitual line-steppers and constantly pulling the rug out from under us... but also... the devs seem like they hate their players too, and are always looking for ways to screw us over. It's insane.
This stuff is like a bar or restaurant that is failing and they think their only recourse is to raise prices in order to survive. But eventually they price customers out and they go somewhere else...because there is always some place more reasonable. These idiot companies don't realize that people need to incentivized to stay, not de-incentivized.

It's such a bad look to release the info only RIGHT before it launches. That doesn't give people time to prepare. This is on purpose. They're trying to push spending so hard that they're killing enjoyment of the game for anyone who is NOT a spender. MSF will never receive another dime from me. I was a pass buyer, and that wasn't good enough, so I've been priced out of the game. I can finally put it down and walk away. My entire alliance but 2 people are quitting the game. Some are going back to SW galaxy of heroes, but most of us just moved to PC games that don't charge a car payment every month just to keep playing.
Can’t wait to get 10 orbs of each character for compensation that’ll still keep a majority of people from playing shattered dimension. Also, I love the fact that they are trying to keep a mystery around who the diamonds will be for. Obviously it’s silver surfer or very unlikely ultimus. (Gotta keep that dark promo bottleneck going) I’ve been playing the game since near launch with only one break, but these past few months have really been pushing me towards at least taking another break.
1 shard away on Gorr, 4 on Gladiator, and thats with quite a few cores spent on orbs. Fortunately I didn't spend at all, just had been hording cores for a bit. Still though, the drop rates are shockingly bad on the free orbs. Many times getting just a few shards on 6-10 orbs
The more I watch these videos the more I am thankful that I decided to quit putting my hard earned money and time into this game. After 6 years of playing uninstalling MSF gave me my life back.
The game is going in this direction intentionally. Cause a stir and get the players mad and then do something nice and say you will do better. This has been the cycle for this game for a LONG time now.
thanos stinks... he doesnt remove buffs if enemies have defense up when he ults. the game getting worse because of new releases. im pulling back on spending because of everything recently.
I know people have been saying it for years and it’s not happened yet but this time it really does feel like they are just trying to bleed the player base dry before fucking off with they’re revenue they are definitely struggling now you can tell with how quickly they are releasing toons. Not only that but they are all 100 shard unlocks!! Then as you mentioned paywalling events e.g. At this rate they won’t be around come 2025.
Just got gladiator a few days ago. Sitting at 77/100 shards for both gorr and thanos… it wouldn’t be so bad if the drop rate was better. Maybe like that of the silver surfer? Further more…. Orange gear in the drops???? That’s the real slap in face.
As a player who has been majority f2p I’ve never had a problem with the pay to win aspect I spend time on this game and I love it I like building my characters and saving materials but this direction they are going is bad and it’s the first time I’ve actually thought about just deleting the game my alliance even said they might leave if it gets worse and I don’t have all the tcp in the world I’m only at like 50 mill so I’m struggling already trying to catch up to the big spenders and now they are telling me it’s impossible to get characters just regularly hopefully you see this and maybe have a voice I like your videos and you are the biggest creator for msf hopefully they will listen to you

I’m f2p & even using cores to open orbs (note I only opened 1 Gladiator, 1 Gorr & 2 Thanos) and only got a good pull on Thanos (60 shards). The rest has been grinding and grinding and some luck on those dumb orbs. I still haven’t unlocked any of the 3 annihilators. This is scopely doing embracing the pay 2 play aspect of these games and it will lead to the game’s ruin
You can bet there are more players that don’t have gladiator yet. The players who watch your videos/on twitch are the more engaged players. Those who don’t are less likely to have them.
4/100 shards for thanos, ive been in top 20 arena all the time and still dont get enough shards. Not possible to unlock him. Am punching up agains spenders in my arena shard
Im free to play and i have thanos gorr and gladiator.... As freee to play gamer i see multiple times a game close because of all this mood is in the ambient i hope this isn't the case after been playing years to this game
for me i unlocked only 3 new annihilators with full purples cores :/ its crazy like i had 1-3 shards opennings 20-30 orbs by characters , without talk about phase who progress slow with 1-2 shard by charracters.... & ngl they are not terrible on arena :(

I've been using my cores AND have gotten super lucky, at least with Gorr. I have all of the Anihilators unlocked except for Thanos. And he is where I am really struggling. I don't care about core events, I just want the characters, but I am not going to or able to shell out 50+ dollars for a character every couple weeks at best. Its absurd, and this crap where they are putting out these garbage orbs and no event to unlock the characters is just crap. I barely got any Shuri or Hank orbs out of those garbage orbs for Illuminati, thousands of shards for Mr F, IronMan and BB, all who I had maxed out easily a year prior. And the same is becoming true with these orbs and Surfer, another character I maxed out long ago. I only need his third diamond and red gear at this point. This is bad, and its making me want to quit playing all together.
I checked back into the game yesterday for a bit. I noticed that for OLD events, things were made easier. Without trying, I was suddenly able to get Fury and I think a Russian character with the metal whips (can't think of his name). At the same time, I was able to get Doc Ock to 7-stars. I wasn't able to do any of that when I was an active player. So it feels like the Devs paywalling the advanced content is an exchange for making old content easier.
Theres no ftp event in datamines. Its either not coming at all or in a month. Definitely wouldnt unlock any of the new ones without cores. Im even in top 50-20 of arena and had to core 4-5 for gorr and gladiator plus get lucky

More explicit explanations are 100% what would be helpful and they won't happen because that flies in the face of FOMO. Scopely creates chaos and a sense of "what the hell," which carries with it the potentiality for spending. It's awful, it feels predatory and it's how they're operating. I still believe that fostering a healthy game-based playing environment would also encourage spending without the unpleasantness, but I'm not a business person so what the heck do I know.
They already said on 22nd to player's voice that they were testing new release method for annihilators. The release method is the arena orbs. There will be no annihilators release events at all. They said they want to go to that release method for now on. Shocked that people just figuring it out now.
7 red stars for Silver Surfer as a reward is ridiculous, at least for a dimension run. Who doesn’t have seven red stars for him already?? Red stars for anyone at all is a waste, even new characters, unless it’s for brand new players. I’m sure most older players have all characters at seven red….and also enough 7 red orbs so that they can easily get them on every new character
i spent all my cores on Gladiator and finally was barely able to unlock him on 3 stars. i have 59 shards for Gorr and i opened 5 core orbs. i don't have cores anymore and for Thanos i was able to get 5 shards overall. now tell me how to play shattered dimension?
The rewards for the first run are an insult to spenders. I am pretty sure anyone who has bought one of the new Annihilators has SS at 7 red or higher. So in reality they are getting a 4red orb. They should be giving players 100 shard of Gladiator for the first run. This would increase the chance of spenders to have 7 yellow at the end of the second run to utilize the Diamond reward. I am sure they would sell a few more Gladiator offers to spenders this way who would want to get the 7th yellow.
The blog post " road to annihilators" published on august the 5th completely explains the only ways to unlock the team, it clearly states there is no normal "free to play" event There are 3 ways to earn shards: 1) The orbs that are paid out at the end of every day 2) The milestone for each character, will give shards 3) the weekend arena milestone It said in that post this is these are the only ways to unlock shards and it will run into the middle of october
i have 4 annihilators at g18 it seems like its gonna be fine no ? got some cores for thanos EG but im sure if i get all 6 drops not gonna unlock him unless by miracle i get 100 drops tonight
That's you. The whole point of this being bad is that it's completely RNG based unless you spent. There's a FTP in my alliance who doesn't have any of the new Annihilators. I'm a FTP and I wouldn't have unlocked Gladiator if I didn't have a stash of cores beforehand.

I have not gotten any of the new Annihilators. I am sitting at 60, 60, 5 on them. This has been horrible and to now pay gate one of the few end content they have is very disappointing to say the least. Thank god I am enjoying Watcher of Realms, so I have something to go to when I finally stop playing this game soon.
I agree. And I think once 1 star or 2 star unlocks become a normal thing, they will remove the orbs that cost 675 cores. That way you’ll have to pay for more stars instead of using power cores.
I've logged in everyday for the past 9+ months been active in a top 200 alliance top 20 to 40 in arena participate in all the activities and log in to the main site for daily rewards.... I put alot into this game because I had fun and kept me interested but lately and I mean months now I've been finding it hard to wana keep going ! I'd rather buy a new game on my pc or ps4 every month then then buy some character thats not even tested that much and is put behind a bunch of shady offers to paygate... idc about 20 or 40 a month for a mobile game but this is beyond ridiculous 100s to get 1 decent stared toon ! Im full f2p now will stay that way untill I get behind because of paygating then I'm out to another game !

First time as F2p i AM locked out top 10 arena for a month now. However most of top 50 BOUGHT ALL the anihilators. Só... They are not wrong doing this and evertday that Góes by this way my wanting tô quit increases
I quit playing about 2 years ago. Lately your videos have been popping up and I've tuned into a few, I find I still enjoy the content you make but really don't miss the game. I bought a switch and have been loving the hell out of it. Have liked seeing the new teams and wish the game was less time consuming and locked behind paywall. Would like to see a marvel RPG on switch
The increase the amount of cores we get from arena. I think that changes a lot. As a mostly free to play player. (Spent under 100 over the years) pretty easy to keep up with top 20 arena. Getting lots of cores and I’m able to core most of the characters. That’s all you got to do.
First, why in the world is pocket dimension being gated by rng now? Second, outside of rng. why is it too often the only way Scopely knows to reward spenders is by punishing f2p? There is not a finite amount of rewards. (The caveat to this is IF f2p can somehow unlock Gladiator just doing the early sections, then you can do the later sections.) It kind of feels like someone at Scopely is too friendly with a kraken or group krakens. Friendly to a point, that unreasonable restrictions and changes suddenly keep happening the last several months. That buff to mephisto made zero sense. Dev teams do not buff characters that are performing correctly based on their own metrics. Arguably the single dumbest thing in the game is that Mephisto needs to be double sacked. How dumb is it? Scopely refuses to let envoys use Mephisto in the tourney because they don’t want players seeing the “best” 10 minutes of msf when ppl double sack Mephisto.

I have been tip 10 in arena throughout the Annihalators release. So 10 orbs a day. The maximum shard drop I have had so far is 8.

I unlocked all of annihilators with cores as a FTP player. It's kinda doable but they are barely usable with 3-4 star levels anyway.

I had to spend some cores on the Gladiator orb to unlock him cause I had bad RNG for the orb
7 red stars for Silver Surfer as a reward is ridiculous, at least for a dimension run. Who doesn’t have seven red stars for him already?? Red stars for anyone at all is a waste, even new characters, unless it’s for brand new players. I’m sure most older players have all characters at seven red….and also enough 7 red orbs so that they can easily get them on every new character

i spent all my cores on Gladiator and finally was barely able to unlock him on 3 stars. i have 59 shards for Gorr and i opened 5 core orbs. i don't have cores anymore and for Thanos i was able to get 5 shards overall. now tell me how to play shattered dimension?
The rewards for the first run are an insult to spenders. I am pretty sure anyone who has bought one of the new Annihilators has SS at 7 red or higher. So in reality they are getting a 4red orb. They should be giving players 100 shard of Gladiator for the first run. This would increase the chance of spenders to have 7 yellow at the end of the second run to utilize the Diamond reward. I am sure they would sell a few more Gladiator offers to spenders this way who would want to get the 7th yellow.

The blog post " road to annihilators" published on august the 5th completely explains the only ways to unlock the team, it clearly states there is no normal "free to play" event
There are 3 ways to earn shards:
1) The orbs that are paid out at the end of every day
2) The milestone for each character, will give shards
3) the weekend arena milestone
It said in that post this is these are the only ways to unlock shards and it will run into the middle of october
Might as well say it should say 0 annihilators or Illuminati needed for each teir because f2p has 0 access to any of the 3 with this crappy orbs

That's you. The whole point of this being bad is that it's completely RNG based unless you spent. There's a FTP in my alliance who doesn't have any of the new Annihilators. I'm a FTP and I wouldn't have unlocked Gladiator if I didn't have a stash of cores beforehand.

I have not gotten any of the new Annihilators. I am sitting at 60, 60, 5 on them. This has been horrible and to now pay gate one of the few end content they have is very disappointing to say the least. Thank god I am enjoying Watcher of Realms, so I have something to go to when I finally stop playing this game soon.

I agree. And I think once 1 star or 2 star unlocks become a normal thing, they will remove the orbs that cost 675 cores. That way you’ll have to pay for more stars instead of using power cores.
I've logged in everyday for the past 9+ months been active in a top 200 alliance top 20 to 40 in arena participate in all the activities and log in to the main site for daily rewards.... I put alot into this game because I had fun and kept me interested but lately and I mean months now I've been finding it hard to wana keep going ! I'd rather buy a new game on my pc or ps4 every month then then buy some character thats not even tested that much and is put behind a bunch of shady offers to paygate... idc about 20 or 40 a month for a mobile game but this is beyond ridiculous 100s to get 1 decent stared toon ! Im full f2p now will stay that way untill I get behind because of paygating then I'm out to another game !
Well, I have 0 Annihilators, so thanks Scopely or whoever the hell runs this game now. Im at 70 something of Gladiators shards…like 50 of Gorr. Thanos I think I have 2 or 3. lol.

First time as F2p i AM locked out top 10 arena for a month now. However most of top 50 BOUGHT ALL the anihilators. Só... They are not wrong doing this and evertday that Góes by this way my wanting tô quit increases

I quit playing about 2 years ago. Lately your videos have been popping up and I've tuned into a few, I find I still enjoy the content you make but really don't miss the game. I bought a switch and have been loving the hell out of it. Have liked seeing the new teams and wish the game was less time consuming and locked behind paywall. Would like to see a marvel RPG on switch

The increase the amount of cores we get from arena. I think that changes a lot. As a mostly free to play player. (Spent under 100 over the years) pretty easy to keep up with top 20 arena. Getting lots of cores and I’m able to core most of the characters. That’s all you got to do.

First, why in the world is pocket dimension being gated by rng now? Second, outside of rng. why is it too often the only way Scopely knows to reward spenders is by punishing f2p? There is not a finite amount of rewards. (The caveat to this is IF f2p can somehow unlock Gladiator just doing the early sections, then you can do the later sections.)
It kind of feels like someone at Scopely is too friendly with a kraken or group krakens. Friendly to a point, that unreasonable restrictions and changes suddenly keep happening the last several months. That buff to mephisto made zero sense. Dev teams do not buff characters that are performing correctly based on their own metrics. Arguably the single dumbest thing in the game is that Mephisto needs to be double sacked. How dumb is it? Scopely refuses to let envoys use Mephisto in the tourney because they don’t want players seeing the “best” 10 minutes of msf when ppl double sack Mephisto.
Im not sticking up for scopley but im unsure why there is so much confusion, other then lorie stating wrong statements causing confusion, ignore her and go with what is said on the blog in my opinion, the orbs are trash, its not free to play friendly, this game has changed and cares less about 75% on its player base and is only focused on rewarding its paying players, we can either leave the game, or just continue playing it but not spend and go on a pay strike, this wont happen though as the pay to win players are happy with the rewards they are getting
