@@TopG360 the thing is I assembled the components first then I just made a box to fit it inside and cut out holes for the LCD panel and use hot glue to attach the potentiometer to the box.
from the looks of it, they misprinted the opening and didn't include the power adapter hole, but rather only allowed for the USB connector to be attached. overall this video has quite a lot of, let's say weird stuff, to keep it polite.
For the buttons change the wires that are in Analog In A0, A1, A2 to A5, A4, A3
