For anyone interested in BR&W, there is a GREAT volume on it published by Arcadia Publishing (those paperback books with the black, red & sepia toned covers that highlight a particular town, area or industry ?...) There is practically more info on this railroad than you'd ever want to know, dominated by photos, as all their books are. There are shots of the 1st freight train pulled by BR&W, in 1970. One end-cab switcher with roughly 10 cars, mainly boxcars & a few covered hoppers. The cars pulled were telling of the era: Grand Trunk, Great Northern and so on... My brother received his copy for Christmas- he was a good boy... 👊🤓
