Me and my friends were sleeping in the grandstand in a makeshift campsite during this portion of the race and other people at the race say that we were discussed on imsa radio, we were asleep and missed our big moment if someone has the timestamp let me know
4:35:30 Shea Adam: "Yes, that's the one that I was JUST talking about..." John Hindhaugh: "Not having a good out-lap there." Peter Mackay: "Cold tires, yeah."😅
I know this is a double post, but I just wanna say these GTP cars are fantastic! They have the look and feel of real race cars, and no, I don't know what I even mean by that. It's a gut-level thing. In WEC I saw the Toyota and Peugeot hypercars last year and I liked what I saw (finally someone's gonna give Toyota a race!). So many teams, so many cars, and they're all screamers! Maybe it's an American bias, but I like the idea of heavier, faster, and more powerful cars, especially when they go that fast! It puts even more demand on the drivers to use skill rather than pure horsepower. I'm watching the whole season late (obviously), and I'm going right to Le Mans as soon as I finish this race because I can't wait to see a well-contested Le Mans in the top class! IMSA and the ACO get top marks for the homologation agreement. What a year! (Ok, I hope they give the LMP2s and the Porsches a little more speed for Seabring.)
I finally get to see what I missed in the overnight hours when trying to sleep when IMSA Radio was on my NBC/USA Network still with damn commercials every 20 mins US Network TV coverage the race really sucked Lemons!
, I was watching the coverage on peacock when it was 2-6am and had the RLM commentators, every time there was an ad I switched to the international stream to see the coverage and saw there wasn’t commentary. I was thinking it might’ve of been because of that but I feel like commentary shouldn’t stop just because People watching on peacock have ads on the race
IMSA never gets the Rolex 500 sound right! I had been thinking they did a great job this year, but then Johnny and Bruce took over and it's back to amateur hour. They kept dropping out (I think I know why), and when they came back, they came with their own louder engine sounds that drowned out their mumbling voices. Why have commentators that you can't hear clearly? These are stupidly simple problems to fix. It's elementary sound engineering that should embarrass a professional broadcast network.
Thank you for your comments regarding the Rolex 24 At Daytona commentary. Please feel free to email info@imsa.com and your feedback will be forwarded to the appropriate for consideration.
Reply to first message iRacing is a complete fraud it's not racing at all there are no physical risks involved there is no sense of the dangers involved in actual on track motor racing so the hell with iRacing erasing Sim racing or whatever you call it the only thing that counts is full metal jacket actual on track racing
Every time I watch these videos, I get an irresistible urge to play iRacing...
I get an urge to go to Daytona for a couple weeks.

Proof that racing drivers don't always go in a circle
I miss the crazy amount of colorful LED lights they had on the cars last year.
IMSA... The real life Grand Turismo 💪🏆

I want to see mercedes-amg entering lmdh car mercedes-amg would be a most formidable competitor and add a lot to the quality of the racing

At times, sounds like the commentators are talking to each other in the booth not the viewers!

3:41:24. Bobby Rahal saying the #24 was in the hunt.
For what? Last place? Such a mistake for BMW to put their factory effort with RLL.

TURN DOWN THE EFFECTS MIKES. They are overriding the soft spoken commentators.
I like it 😬
They need new commentators, someone who gets people hype about the race
Mclaren
