You are awesome for keeping patients/support members abreast of the current and potential introduction of treatments. And I agree with you on the perspectives regarding prostaglandins. The concern surrounding these implants is scarring however. But this would be amazing!!!! Drops are truly an inadequate form of treatment as they don’t do what the implants can.... resolve the issue from with the whole orbital. You rock💯🤩

OH my! Dr Richardson, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I was just diagnosed with Open End Glaucoma a few days ago and the Doctor of course gave me a RX for drops. I was ready and willing to use them until I read about the "possible" side effects! I am one to do Hollistic care and alternative treatments. I didn't know there were informed Doctors such as yourself out there.
I will be getting in touch with you!

I am keeping my glaucoma at bay! Here's how: I take 6-7 chlorella pills every single day, and I use an infrared heat lamp on my CLOSED eyes at 5" for 5 minutes, am & pm. Your analysis definitely makes me more interested in this implant than when I first heard about it! Is that 3rd implant still in the eye when the long term benefits are being noted or has it already been removed...?

Pretty much the same. As the FDA is only allowing one implant per eye, however, it's effect will by definition be limited. As such, and given that glaucoma is a chronic condition, there just aren't that many people for whom this treatment makes sense.

How does Bimatoprost smell? Can you specify? I have bought a brand called Miraclash and it smells like Elmer's glue.
