Greg Phillinganes and Michael Jackson were a perfect match. Both masters of their craft fused together to make history. It was destiny. So glad to see Greg still doing his thing and honoring MJ.
Seeing someone from MJ's band play his songs makes my heart sing. I watch a lot of videos of people covering MJs music, but you FEEL it when THE members play it Thank you everyone for doing this! MJ4EVA
Long Live The King Of Music Forever! Michael Joseph Jackson from adolescent to adulthood he truly is The Greatest Music Artist To Ever Live! I was also in the Live Stream it was So Epic! I’ll never forget this day and Greg killed it all his work does not go unnoticed by all of us MJ Fans/Moonwalkers we truly are grateful for everything you’ve ever done with MJ God Bless You Brotha it was an honor to witness this🙏🏽🙌🏽👑❤️💕✨
In addition it is funny how many Prince fans always are tried to be little Michael's musical talent which is crazy and not understanding that part just because he was a master at instrumentations but he uses vocals his body to beatbox hum melodies harmonies he played the piano the drums I think that's pretty musical and worth Saying
Honestly, the ONLY think Prince is better than Michael at is playing instruments. Even though MICHAEL knew how to play some instruments, that wasn't his interest. Also, he was WAS THE INSTRUMENT! However, because Prince played instruments doesn't make him a better singing artist. Singing, dancing, song writing and performing MJ was better. As a kid Michael was a better singer and dancer than Prince EVER WAS! WORLDWIDE, MICHAEL JACKSON IS KNOW AS THE GOAT!!! HE IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL AND BIGGEST SELLING MUSIC ARTIST OF ALL-TIME!!!! THERE U HAVE IT, THE PEOPLE MADE THEIR CHOSE. I THINK IT IS AMAZING HOW THE KIDS IN THIS GENERATION ARE FANS OF MICHAEL AND KNOW HIS SONGS AND DANCES. MJ IS THE GOAT, THE BEST TO EVER DO IT!!! ITS JUST THE SIMPLE TRUTH!!!
Great to hear from people that have worked directly with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson....I've was at the Bad tour in Atlanta GA. have been a fan since the 70's Michael will always #1 the best entertainer to grace a stage.......
Michael was a great human being. Despite what any greedy little shysters say, they know who they are . That being said. Great show. Thanks. Big fan of Greg Phillinganes too.
Thank you Strick, Doc Henry & the incomparable Mr GP… for this most valuable insights to arguably the greatest Talent to have walked this earth… who lived & died for his craft … we are all the so much better to be in this generation …😍 Malaysia 🇲🇾
MJ did perform “Remember The Time” at the 1993 Soul Train Awards …and he did it with a broken foot sitting on a wheel chair …what an consummate artist …🤩
Great meeting! For us fans of Michael, this is gold. Thank you so much for bringing us all those memories from someone who really was there. Greetings from Spain!
I'm happy and fulfilled that Greg played Human Nature and in my opinion I always thought it was one of the best songs Michael has ever recorded, and Greg confirmed what I considered it to be. Really this song crosses decades always remembered, I consider it timeless and very evolved for the time it was recorded, there's something about it that moves the heart! Thanks Greg! Thanks Michael J!
Hey guys you're so great!!! Thanks, especially Greg for his beautiful memories about MJ. P.S. Hi Greg we met immediately after the Milan show of Immortal Tour. L.O.V.E. from Italy.
Greg you rock! Michael was lucky to have you in his life. When I watch the concert footage during the tours Michael loved you. Thanks for the great work and memories of you and Michael. Edmonton Alberta Canada moonwalkers and apple heads approve wholeheartedly.
Gerg is a legend of the music industry. First time I saw him was on the BAD TOUR AINTREE LIVERPOOL SEPT 11TH 1988. I found the interview so amazing. Such a amazing talented inspiration man.
oh wow...to everything.. but human nature?!...purest sound of magical joy..and that outro of it..electricity running through my skin in waves..amazing..amazing..amazing...amazing..
Greg Phillinganes one of my favorite videos is Come together and I'm seeing Greg in the video too a rockstar performance I still watch that music video right now in 2021 Come Together #MoonWalker
Hey Greg, my brother from another Mother ❤❤❤. My brother Ricky Lawson was the drummer on both tours. Love to see recognition of the band members. Without them what would it sound like. Everyone can't sing ocapela 😂❤❤
Being a Michael Jackson fan for all my life and I’m sure many others in the same position agree that almost all of the info contained within this video is already widely known except for maybe some things such as why Greg left the dangerous tour but it’s all good as it would be informative for those who don’t already know most the the info here and overall it’s always good to watch anything Michael Jackson related and Greg is a legendary talent. But would like to point out the the host and dr Henry 3 conversed about the existence of a video for the girl is Mine which is incorrect and there is no video for that song. Oh and a big number of songs on the dangerous tour were sung live. Again this info is known to the bigger number of people in the mj fan community.
Hello from Delhi. This was soooooo very enjoyable. Thank you all for doing this. I loved the bit about Michael liking volume, Dr Pinion's interview and Greg's keyboards at the end.
LOVED U'RE INTERVIEW ON YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH MJ THERE CAUSE THAT WILL BE ME VERY SO SOON ANYWAYS HERE IN LONDON AT THE 02 INDIGO ARENA, OK? THANK U AND BLESS U FOR DOIN' THIS 'LIVE'!.
I love the one That's a another part of me, like when Michael Jackson went and introduced Greg and start rubbing Greg head , I just love Michael Jackson and his bands ,how did it really felt traveling and working with Michael Jackson Mr. Greg ?
Besides the songs and albums that the Greg worked on he was a part of Bad Tour (87-89), Dangerous (Summer & December 92), and 2001 30th anniversary with MJ/Jacksons. He left at end of December 92-beginning of 93 preceding the August shows.
OH WOW! Greg Phillinganes.....I am your fan too...you are Iconic! thank you for this Show interview...I enjoyed it! and gee Greg got that Mj shirt too like yours:-) keep rocking the world..God bless you guyz! watching from Germany...
I was a music lover and student in HS. I learned so much but I learned a lot from Dr. Andre Thomas at FSU just by his amazing ability to direct choruses. Thank you Doc and Greg for contributing your knowledge.
Greg I went to junior high school with you . I remember this teacher at Beaubian school would ask your teacher if you could come to his classroom to play Charlie Brown on the piano that was in his classroom. the way you played that song I knew you were on your way to success. In school we called you MOUSE. DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
I'm in 😭 tears. The memorial service is so heartbreaking. I can't watch it. I'm so angry at the elites who destroyed him and used this beautiful gift from God. Thank you Greg. I know you loved him.
This interview is gold! But, why was the audio capture not directly from his mic? He had a Neumann, def gotta show off the sound of that instead of the hissing going on like laptop audio.
Strick, what an amazing interview with Greg, this was incredible! I can't believe I missed this; I hope you have Greg again (need to put it in my calendar)! I watched this more times than I should! Keep 'em coming!
Was front row a lot on dangerous tour and can guarantee the volume was insane. It hurt. Far louder than history tour that the wings had guests and family in that werent on the others.
Btw 22:00 - yall we can listen to MJs demo of “behind the mask” on the 40th anniversary album as of 2023. They will be releasing some special footage in new documentary coming out in December.
It takes a gut to debate with someone who helped create a song about whether or not there is a music video for that song... As Greg said, there is no music video for "The Girl Is Mine". The visual that you two were thinking of is a song called "Say Say Say" also featuring Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson. Greg was humble and perhaps experienced enough to not debate further about it with you. Also Greg was all but joking when he said "you keep cutting me off!".. There were so many good questions he was cut off in MID-THOUGHT while answering! Great session, otherwise!
Thanks for checking out this video, please remember to like it, subscribe and hit the bell for notifications.
i realize I am pretty off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released series online?
@Kingston Colby Flixportal :P

Greg Phillinganes and Michael Jackson were a perfect match. Both masters of their craft fused together to make history. It was destiny. So glad to see Greg still doing his thing and honoring MJ.
Greg is one of the greatest keyboard players of our time, was a privilege to hear him tear it up during the Bad Tour interludes.
how did greg acquire the nickname mouse?
That Human Nature segment by Greg was incredible to hear, pure Dangerous Tour.♥️
I enjoyed that as well!
MJ is the best singer and dancer of all time nobody ever close to him ❤
Totally agree ❤😊👌❤🥀
I agree!!!

Greg Respect 👍🎶🎹❣️
Awesome..🌿✨
Michael Forever ✌️❤️
Thanks for watching
They confused "The girl is mine" with "Say say say" at 13:00.
Right lol
Greg didn't! 😉
lol, you are right.
Yeah they lost their credibility for me at that moment. And they tried to argue with Greg. Come on now.
I’m sure it was about the same time that when ‘The Girl is Mine’ was released that MJ bought the rights to all the Beatles tunes.
P E A C E : )
