i know games arent essential to this but if i wanted to run unity games like aottg( attack on titan tribute game)would this be possible and if so how well would it run im not looking to play it at high specs just in general play
Is the screen of your TW700 kind of grainy or blurry when you read text or news in white background? Mine was and I returned for another one but still has the same problem.
I'm considering this for a car PC device for music/movies/engine management/monitoring etc. What would you say would force someone to move up to the 2GB RAM 8" model over this 1GB ram model? I'm pretty sure RomRaider will work with 1GB of ram, and the rest of its "job" will be running GPS software, and music managment/playback software. I'd prefer to grab the 60$ version here but will grab the 2GB RAM 8" 801 model if needed.

I picked one of these up, based on this review and others and the fact that it is $59! I am really impressed with this device. I like the full size usb. It comes with a one year subscription to Office 365 which takes up most of the available hard drive space on the tablet so I just redeemed the offer and did not install the software. It is good for one tablet and one PC install. I plan on using the online version which is also included with my subscription. Hard drive space is extremely limited but the Office 365 subscription also includes 1 TB of cloud drive space with OneDrive and you can install the Onedrive folder on the SD card. I have been sticking with Dropbox for a long time because I had about 100 GB of drive space for free but now that I have this subscription, I will probably more all of my files.
how does windows only take up a small amount of space on this tablet compared to laptop and desktop PCs? I mean most of the space on the device is taken up by the OS but compared to the desktop with windows 8 which takes up 15gb in itself and over time can balloon to 25GB like it did on my desktop
yes you can buy a blue tooth keyboard and mouse and hook it up to your monitor or tv using hdmi. also stream games from your pc like a shield using steams steaming capabilities.
There is a "Windows App Store". YES you can add more apps from the app store. *Note that app store apps aren't for the most part "Full-Featured" Windows type apps, they are designed for the Metro Interface of Windows 8 /8.1. Pro to such is size wise they don't take up much space while in ram/memory and don't take up much space on C: as a "real" Windows app would. *Note that the TW700 runs a FULL version of WINDOWS 8.1 so you can install *ANY app that works in Win8.1. meaning not only apps from the "app store" but also it should run any Win7, Vista, XP, Win2000, Win98, Win95 apps that can be made to run on 8.1 * Any app that will run on a 8.1 with 1GB ram... that can be installed in the small amount of available disc space or can be installed to the SD card.
16GB of physical memory is listed on the box, but available space is something like 8GB or less to begin with before ANY windows updates, and before the unit goes into hibernation mode for the FIRST time! After that unless steps are taken available memory drops to virtually zero from what I've read. Memory management on the TW700 is going to be a ongoing issue IMO. I think Microsoft should require that any devices in which a MS OS is being installed on had to have at least double the ram needed, and what size memory/ram is to be installed should be based on a device that has say at least a YEARS worth of Windows Updates applied and normal use, vs the device being taken out of the box with ZERO run time on it. Microsoft should also allow end-user (Owner) to install apps to SD card, giving the OWNER of the device the option to mark the SD card as "Non-Removable" as alot of apps won't install to a drive marked as removable. .
I can't speak for this tablet because I do not have one yet but it has been my experience that the Haswell Atom processors are great for Netflix and other video playback. It is hard to tell the difference between these machines and machines with higher end specs for video playback.
I would like to see your review of the 8" TW800 or TW801 and comparison with the TW700. Please do it since you have both.

because recovery partitions can vary among hardware. Usually full windows 8.1 would be about 10-15 Gb while 8.1 with bing could be like 5-7 Gb
