You’re in there through so many ups and downs feeling the pain or the ecstasy with every defeat or win and sharing it with your fellow supporters. this was my regular boozer before I moved from Glasgow, I used to take my cousin up from Birmingham , he was Birmingham-Irish so he loved it, he brought his mates up one of who had a big 3 lions england ring on , people noticed it but had a laugh with him and they never had any bother... they loved going around all the Celtic pubs with us , we used to have some great weekends
That's why it full of Irish the brazen heid is right in the heart of the Gorbals in Glasgow a well known Irish populated estate in Glasgow all the high rises are gone now as well as most the population I think 🧐🤯

Has anyone been to lord nelson pub in tradeston / or Bristol bar or best pub in the world celtic fans know this as the louden or any pub in bridgeton or any pub in paisley rd west no go areas for any innocent person be warned .

Brazen Head isnae rough at all. And neither is the Sarry Heid (Saracen Head). You would have loved Baird's Bar which wis right across the road from the Saracen Head. It wis a temple of Celtic support, but sadly now closed doon.

top tip. If you are ever in Bar 67 and a guy called Big Pat asks what team you support don't say Rangers. I was dressed in a 3 piece bright yellow suit heading to the Barrowlands for a gig. My GF who kinda supports Celtic never got questioned. lol. Walked out after a couple pints with no issues. Pat was just not used to anyone that didn'r LIVE Celtic I guess.

Eddie I used to drink in there on old firm games and there was a woman rangers fan in there everytime and there was not one bit of trouble, anyone could walk in with any strip on and nothing would happen, ok maybe get a bit of a slagging but nothing more 👍🏼
Was in the Brazen mid 90's when 3 guys didn't stand up for the soldiers song ..they were about to get leathered until the barman said they were his bluenose mates and to leave them alone😂

The bar staff cleaned and tried to cover up a serious stabbing in it which we all know as perverting the course of justice, tims fighting amongst themselves.Wasn't the first time stabbings occurred that's why it's licence was revoked .I used to have a early jar in it for a curer when I drank and a game of pool anybody remember Chazzer lol what a guy sadly gone now ..

This is a touristy pub, get yourself down along to Calton I remember my first time around there mid noughties my god I never had an issue but these gafs had some dangerous heads, Glasgow has changed alot for the better since then , murders aren't a common thing , knife crime I presume is nowhere near what it was, every guy in these pubs had slash marks on their face it was quite the experience

The surrounding area is the notorious Gorbals. 95% of it has been knocked down and rebuilt and is a decent area now. I still remember it in the 90s when you would have thought twice about walking through there, never mind going to the local pub 😂
@@BoabMarley yea Glasgow has always had a reputation of violence never being hard to find ,I'm sure even now I'd think twice with my English accent, I'm a Celtic fan though so that pub looked great to me ,I've got mates down here with family up there and they tell me some stories .
@mrfreeland123 to be fair, Glasgow isn't as bad as it's made out to be and is a great night out with some of the friendliest people you'll meet anywhere. If you go looking for trouble, it won't be hard to find, but you can apply that to any major town or city nowadays.
