I have always wished to get this super rare plant. It has such an incredible and beautiful form. Philodendron Spiritus Sancti is known to live naturally in only one small region of Brasil- Espirito Santo- and has been deemed endangered, which has led to it being a victim of much poaching. Congratulations on getting one. I would love to see an update on your baby.
Picked up a tissue culture spiritis sancti last month and have been growing it in 100% pumice, sifted to 1/8in size; as soon as the saturated pumice has been dried out I water it again, seems like SS really prefers a highly arieated soil mix.
IME moss comes off a lot easier when it’s wet. Your gonna have to be careful with watering. I also will use a toothpick too loosen the moss an help get it off. It’s sizing up pretty fast. 💚
I kept it in moss for about 3 months until it was very well rooted. And yes, I do believe the grow light might have caused the damage as you mention it
Wow beautiful Plants ^^

You might be able to get your hands on one sooner than you think. The prices are falling rapidly
As a new plant person, I would def say that the billietae is more aesthetic to me.
I can see the appeal. I had one but it died :(

I couldn't agree more! Is your plant a large one?
Love your videos. Thank you for sharing the update. Beautiful plant.
Thank you! It means a lot!
Love the form of the plant 🌱

Thank you! You too!
Nice philodendron. Thanks for sharing!
So nice of you! I hope it keep on growing the way it has been
That's growing nicely, and it looks good in its new pot. We just need the weather to improve so she can really take off 😊
I can't wait either! Sometimes it feels like spring is a million years away lol!

Thank you for that. It's good to know! The moss was damp from a recent watering but next time I will try soaking it a little longer

I love mine bro!!! Awesome work

I can't wait for those classic PSS leaves!
Updated plant tour pretty please 💚
That's a good video idea! I will put it in the list!
😍
Yours has definitely taken off since you first got her. Great update man.
I was really surprised to see how quickly it grows
@Roots Ready I felt the same way. I like thst it doesn't require a lot of specialized care
Good morning,
How long did you keep your plant in the moss?
Do you think a grow light would also cause the leaf distortion?
I kept it in moss for about 3 months until it was very well rooted. And yes, I do believe the grow light might have caused the damage as you mention it
What type/brand of beneficial fungi do you use/recommend?
I am currently using a sample from liquid gold leaf
How did to did it turn out. I’m about to do mine and I’m nervous lol
It worked out really well. Please check out the update videos
How often do you water your sancti?
I tend to water it once a week. I find that it doesn't like its roots to remain in wet soil for too long, like a lot of other philodendrons
Big ups for going with your sensible rationale brain 🫣this has done so well already in your care! Enjoying the updates.
Thank you! 🤣 It best that I didn't take the risk
