I remember when you received this. You were so excited. That interview with Pete was great too.
It’s fantastic how you touched on all the important aspects of plant care for plants like this in such an easy to absorb way.
    Thanks for sharing!

I really was excited, I am glad you remember. I also had a big case of buyers remorse as the plant was expensive but I do not regret this purchase at all!

Hi Nora, really loving your videos and your plant is looking so so great!
I’m thinking of repotting my Sancti in full leca soon, I’ve had it since December and it’s pushed out a few leaves with another one on the way❤ The roots are looking good and it’s still in the semi hydro medium mix the seller shipped in. Can you please share what nutrient brand you use for the sancti and if you keep it in nutrient reservoir like I’ve seen in some of your other videos? Thank you!

You are very welcome. I am so glad I waited to move it to leca and did not do it immediately.

Hi Nora, new subscriber here! I think you did great on your tutorial, there are maybe two or three things that I would like to caveat as somebody who's been growing the PSS for two years now but also as a professional aroid nerd.
I think that the colour of yours looks a bit off, I notice this too in a lot in online ads, most peoples' Spiritus look too dark green. I believe that it may be an issue with too much nitrogen in the fertilizer or the pH being too alkaline. My personal specimen has always had this light blue/glaucous tone to its leaves that's instantly recognizable from pictures of the Spiritus growing in the wild, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing different but these are my two hypotheses.
Second caveat is that the Spiritus doesn't need a moss pole, I'd even recommend against it because it will block the leaves from emerging on one side, although if you grow it in a situation where it's only getting light from the other side, that will still work but I think that this plant looks best in a situation that allows it to have leaves emerging from all sides. This philodendron has such short internodes and so many aerial roots that it can support itself when mature. I personally only use a janky bamboo support stick and plant ties with mine and the leaves are getting close to mature (latest leaf is 22.5in long).
Last caveat is less of an opinion though, foot candles are simply not a relevant unit when it comes to plants. The industry standard for grow lights is to measure light with PAR or PPFD because it actually measures the light spectrum that is usable by plants. I don't know why so many UA-camrs keep making this mistake, I'm beginning to wonder where this malinformation is coming from. But at least, after converting your recommended measurement to PAR (the conversion rate is not linear and varies depending on the light spectrum which is why we do not use f/c) your recommendation is great and on par with my experience with this plant.
Anyway, sorry if I may seem too critical, I'm just very passionate about this stuff and let me say this again, I think that your tutorial is great, it's very easy to approach and I love your energy, you're actually a few levels above many of the plant UA-camrs I've seen which is why I took the time to write this! Keep growing ;)

I really like the look of the plant now with the pole. I will never turn it to allow equal light to the whole plant so hence the moss pole. Do you reckon I should remove it? Thanks.

Most people go with a 12/12 schedule. Something like 8AM to 8PM allows it to be in tune with the natural sunlight. Don't turn the light off when there's natural sunlight though, Monstera deliciosa needs A LOT of light to mature.
