I like your set up. I think a tourniquet would be a good addition..

This is one of the better bump-in-the-night setups I've seen. Thanks for such a common-sense approach to the matter.

I like your setup. All I'd add is a tourniquet.

I keep a TQ on the sling of my HD rifle. That way, worst case scenario, I have a weapon with light and medical on it if I can’t grab anything else.

Couple of comments. Good layout. Have you considered a light on the pistol? A hipster for the light equipped pistol gives you a 2nd light (a spare light in a dark situation is handy when the stuff meets the impeller). For " normel" night time run ins, a pistol qualified protection vest takes just a moment to cover a part of your reported naked torso while adding some good insurance is your foe is similarly armed. By the way, from years of wearing these vests, it is also protection for hand to hand situations or falls (don't want to hear that never happens). Thinking it out, it takes about the same amount of time to put on a level higher vest so you could just reduce one vest. Set a head lamp in that pouch so you could respond with it in place if needed (adding that 2nd light mentioned). Keep it up.

Nice belt! My bump in the night set up is just a pistol flashlight and ammo. Lightest and easiest (for me) way to defend then get to my shtf bag. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your videos

It’s a very cool setup. I feel like all I would be able to grab is my gun and wouldn’t have time to put anything else on or worry about. That’s just me, personally. Definitely a good idea, though.

Thanks for sharing I need to do better in this area, right now just my pistol and ammo next to the bed.👍

Good belt and reasoning for what you have on it. The big pouch can hold a tourniquet. Just show up with your boots, belt and gun on!!! That ought to confuse them!

Looks good to me. I have pretty much the same setup.

I suppose if a Marine naked except for a belt kit and a gun came at a thief in the middle of the night do you think he would run? I would think so. Thank you for the video.

I can't disagree with what works for you, looks great. You may consider tho... having a kydex holstered 4" to 8" dagger on your weak side, handle up. Would certainly beat a 45 when you run smack into someone in the dark and your face to face grappling . It's slim, light, and hands down beats having to manipulate a thumb action folder when you need it fast!

Have a very similar padded belt set up, I did put a soft-t wide tq on it with a Izzy bandage. use to use a flc molle vest but I didn't need all those pouches. Aren't those shotty cards neat? Class i took last year showed us the ar mag pouch trick with those.

okay. you have property, I do not. but if my house can't be defended by a silly, rusted samurai sword at the top of my stairs...then 1) I'm sleeping to heavy and 2 ) Scarf is sleeping to contently. I have one way out of my room aside from the windows and if shit was so heavy I needed arms, my sword is my sword. GRANTED, I'm also as practiced with a sword as anyone that pops 100 rounds a month is practiced with their sidearm. And I can drop a flat out Baseball in someones face at 60 feet at 80 mph. Won't kill them but it'll call an ambulance. and all of my baseballs are axes. plus I'm a sneaky bastard with a dog that doesn't bark, which is why I waited for a rottweiler. Handsigns and single words.
in all reality though I haven't given much thought to home invasion because the knight the knight next door is of way higher likelyhood than me needing to defend his property,, sorry. True story.
Already drew my sword on him when I moved here and warned him I don't call the police. We have an excellent understanding.

I have a 20 Inch 870 loaded with #4 buckshot extended tube holding 8 rounds and a buttstock banderler holding 6 more I want to add a pressure switch light I perfer a hand held flash light to identify friend or foe but a weapon mounted has its advantage
A pistol sized lever action rifle would be a good option or M1 Carbine add a sling and carry extra ammo ether a butt stock loops for the lever action or the old canvas GI 45 double mag pouch for the carbine trick
Another option for carrying stuff would be a load out vest instead of struggling with straps

those are some good ideas. i do have a blackhawk mag carrier that fits on a AR stock.

@@renaissancemarinetv3536 I dont realy see a bumping the night problem lasting more than a couple of rounds any Varmit attcking livestock is going to end after a couple of shots ether its dead or it De-asses the area
      Same thing with dirtbags
So unless its a scene from the Opening of Red Dawn You should be OK with a few rounds

My Glock 21, that's what I grab when I'm in bed sleeping . Should I need to leave in a rush, I keep a small bag with ammo for 21 and my short 20 gauge and ammo. There's also shorts, shirt and shoes. It's not a bug out bag, it's a I'm running for my life.

I have a similar problem, over think and pack too much, my carry gun stays on the bed next to me, my go-to AR is at the foot of the bed. 40+5 in it, got my plate carrier by the door, like throwing a shirt on. Flashlight on the primary go-to weapon. And on the carrier. I'm rural, neighbors aren't even close enough to complain about automatic weapon fire or explosions. LoL
They way to go is what you like and preform the best with. We don't have to use what's issued any more LoL.
