You can also get the zipper bags on Amazon. I bought mine there. They weren’t expensive either. I’m interested to see how the painting will come out. I’m still on the fence with Victoria’s moon. The picture on the canvas is so light. If it’s square drills, it doesn’t matter, but for rounds, the canvas should be colorful since the background colors show around the drills. I can’t wait till you start the painting. I hope it comes out beautiful 👍
I found some zipper bags in Asda yesterday for £1. Failing that, I've kitted up my current project into the large grip seal bag my containers came in, the drills for this project are in baggies.

The first is a 60x80 autumnal custom of an image I kept running across on Instagram that I just kept falling in love with more every time I saw it and the other 3 are stock images that I really loved. Can't wait to get them all and see what the hubbub is about.
I had the same issue with the Darice containers. I like how much you can store and they are high quality, but opening the containers can be difficult sometimes. Plus they are loud when I’m working with them and it bugs me a little.
My kit came with a clear cover over the entire painting. It is not in 2 or 3 pieces to keep other parts protected. I am not comfortable scoring, so could I use paper like you have here. What type of paper is it? Please and thanks ...
This paper came with the painting as some come with opaque covers and some clear. The clear tends to be with poorer glue. Hi, I use washi tape to cover the sticky that doesn't have diamonds on it. It stops it picking up fluff from my clothes or from the air. Especially useful if you have pets as their hair can stick to it too.
HI Wendy, many times I do diamond paintings upside down, or even on their side. What ever is the most practical for the small table I work on in the front room.

The Electric Lion on DAC has the most amazing colors it was so much fun to work on.

I use those containers a lot, in the 28 size. I also use those bags. Got them from Amazon.
I’m working n my VM now actually going pretty good. use have to let the canvas air a bit then the diamond s work really well!!!!

Could you tell me where you purchased your containers? I just purchased some, but the lids don't stay closed.
I've had them from Ali express and Amazon. If they don't stay shut I bend the clip part forward a bit and then they will shut. (I use my teeth. LOL)

I use the handle end of cheap metal tweezers to pop the Elizabeth Ward containers open. My nails are jewels, not tools 😂❤️
