I preferred to not trim my bow, instead I folded it in & then back on itself. So it sort of cascades. I have written instructions but they did not explain the 3rd step where you fold it into 1/4's .. NOW I see .. :) I can't believe how gorgeous this bow is. Paper is SO versatile & so strong .. it never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for your time & effort & sharing your talent with us. It is probably because of the cutting and stuff.. some people are crazy about the 'pure origami' thing. They say if scissor and/or glue is used, it's kirigami not origami
I made this bow for on a wedding gift. I did not cut the notch in the tails. I kept them the way they are. I used gift wrap to do it since I had extra. It also needed hot glue to keep it together and laying just right. It looks really nice but it took me three times as long to make it at my age and inexperience. But I am happy with it. It looks perfect. I know my niece will notice my handiwork on her gift.
Oh this brings back so many memories! I was so into origami when I was younger, I’m pretty sure I made most of the things this channel had. I remember I even made a whole set of household furniture & attempted to make my own house out of paper to put them in! Good vibes man, thank you for being part of my childhood 😊

Wonderfully clear video and a good pace, i only needed to pause a couple of times. Ive found it looks good without cutting the 'tails' too, so have two versions of the bow now :-)

aww thats alrighttt, origami requires HIGH patience, and patience is literally only MASTERED in OLD AGE when u can devote all the time u want to it (btw u dont have to master patience to do origami, just build it up gradually)
