State of Play itself was decent. Not many new announcements but the stuff they showed, showed well I think.
No console warring it was REALLY middling at best.. Nothings trending or even being talked about or viewed.. It wasn’t good.. We could’ve chilled and they just dropped trailers on the PS channel and got the result..

The wishlist thing, not counting the obvious tracking for release and sales, is definitely used to track potential purchase interest on Steam (especially used by indie devs).
King has the stupidest reasoning. 8 is a fair score, even 7 if you’re a fanboy. You’re taking off 4 points because ps has the marketing for great multiplat games?
Xbox direct was ara (not coming to consoles), hellblade 2 (May 21), avowed (no release date, fall), Indy (no release date), visions of mama (multiplat). So essentially 3 Xbox console exclusive games all year. 2 that we’ve been seeing for 4 years now.
Ps state of play exclusives helldivers 2 (feb 8), foamstars (feb 6 on ps plus), rise of ronin (March 22), stelar blade (April 26th), until dawn (2024), death stranding 2 (2025), new announcement for another AAA Kojima exclusive, silent hill 2 (2024), silent hill short message (given for fee same day shadow drop), full metro awakening game in psvr2 (looks great). Dedicated state of play for ff7 rebirth on Feb 6th (launching feb 29th)
FF7 rebirth alone is a goty contender and pretty much better than any Xbox exclusive launching this year.

just to clear one thing up, not that it matters, but palworld has sold over 12 million on steam, and has had 7 million players on xbox for a combinee total of 19 million players. for a studio in tokyo that has something like 15 people working on it, and the yen being at such a low value right now, the usd and european currencies flooding pocketpair had made all of them very rich

Im sorry but I know Sony only have one 1st party game in 2024 compared to Xbox 4 1st party games. Apart from Indiana Jones. Sonys 2nd and 3rd party are better than Xboxes 1st party games.
Look at last year Starfiled has completely fallen off and never reached the hype, Forza is a mess at this moment and Redfall the less said the better.

Console waring is stupid. There weren't a lot of games I'm interested in this show however, I only saw 2 games that looked terrible. No way this was a bad show. Minus the bickering it was a decent show imo.

The PSVR2 showcase was weak. I'm pretty sure at Meta Connect, Zuckerberg announced bringing 5 Deep Silver games to Quest. I still have no real reason to pick up a PSVR2.
Facebook is again beating Playstation at VR gaming, which a year ago would be a wild statement.
I think the show was good with the exclusives but not telling with first party which has been my concern for the last 18 months. I am a cross console player and PS5 is not feeding me well to be honest. To be fair PlayStation has done good this year in bringing in Rise of the Ronin and Stella Blade and I like the attempt at bringing indie games like Dave the Diver. Silent Hill 2 & DS2 are not games I will enjoy but I know that others will and Dragons Dogma I will probably play on my Xbox. Lastly, I would give this show a 7/10 because while it was a good showing, not enough first party games.

Most games weren’t for me but for overall presentation I just felt the pacing was weird and the editing for how they presented Stellar Blade was bad in my opinion. That editing has that game looking empty and made the VA just super weird. I am still excited for Rise of Ronin, but a lot of lack of dates after April and not a lot of first party still has me wondering what I’ll use my PS5 for later this year. Still need to know more of what to expect in Q3 and Q4.
The best announcements during the Xbox direct were Xbox games, the best announcement during the PlayStation state of play was Sonic x Shadow.......

PC is not Microsoft, get that out of your head. Microsoft doesn't make money when people buy a game from Steam. They only make money when people buy a Microsoft game or Windows, which is an OS (operating system), not a PC.
So yes. Your PC logic applies to both PS and Xbox. PC would only be counted as Xbox if they actually made money from non first party or published games on Steam or EGS. But guess what, they don't.
