To be fair, MHW was being developed and had come out at around the time that Capcom was working on the Resident Evil 2 Remake and DMC5, so they probably didn't have enough resources to make MHW into the epic experience that Iceborne has been so far.
What if there is a small monster that is specifically trained by the guild to follow hunters around sneakily and provide them with awesome music during fights to up the win rates on hunts? Like, tiny musical Qurupecos or something?
I love that parts of this theme actually come from or at least are inspired by the other areas, the most obvious being rotten vale at 0:41 , but a mixture between wild spire and ancient forest can be heard at 0:30 and at 0:22 coral highlands rhythm but with wild spire instruments, and the flute at 0:28 is a signature of wild spire waste. I love the idea of incorporating these other themes into the theme for guiding lands due to it being an area that is made up of smaller versions of every other area.

When I first heard this, I was fighting an Odogeron and thought that this was just a remix of all the monster themes put together, due to me hearing 0:39. I found that to be quite neat if that is what they intended.
As painful of a grind the Guiding Lands are, this track just makes it so worth it. Even while getting my ass absolutely beaten by a tempered Diablos, this track puts the motivation back up to end his miserable life of a plain annoying monster.
I really wish that they make an even cooler version of this theme as a final boss theme to the Guiding Lands (Maybe the last Title Update for Iceborne?)
Most of the other area themes are in this, so the only ones that aren't are Volcano and Tundra (pre updates ver) So your not the only one lol, alot of others mention this.
Omg, was thinking the same thing!! Especially at the intro and 3:03 it gives me attack on titan vibes. Which makes using dual blades with one of the new hairstyles and clutch claw moves added with iceborne really helps anyone roleplaying as Levi, tbh. 😂😂

As someone who regularly jams out to monster hunter music I can definitively say that this is my favorite track. Combining the themes of the major areas of the game into one awe inspiring remix is something else man. Thank you capcom for the new workout track

As seen in the story, both the guiding lands and the new world "grow" in a spiral with the everstream. The guiding lands might just be a newer new world.

For me - The Guiding Lands Battle Theme is among the finest battle themes in Monster Hunter. To me - It ranks up there with "Proof of a Hero." I get chills when I hear that guitar riff in this theme.

This is such a jump from the music they had before iceborne what a great theme to just slay anything too.
It's funny because a lot of leitmotifs from other songs are used in this. You can easily hear Rotton Vale's battle theme in the background at 0:40.
