@@michaelcapriano8265 Thanks and yeah I’m not a fan either and anyone else who wears waders knows the struggle of having to take everything off just to go pee 😅
I’m terrible at reading the cuts, troughs, and sand bars. I’ve purposely gone to a spot I would fish on peak low tide where it’s a negative tide. It gives you a visual you regularly can’t see and you try to match up holes and sand bars with land marks. The only other way I’ve figured it out is to wade out until I sink into a hole lol. Cool video. I’ll be trying to get on some of these while in the colder months. 🧨 🧨 🧨 🧨🚶 🧨 🧨 🧨 🦨 🔥 👍🏻 💪🏻 🤙🏻
@@GQRS Thanks bro and I was fishing north of the pier. I’ve only rented skiffs out at Newport but that’s about all, I do wanna get out there but I’m always in a crunch for time 🤷🏾♂️
@@goldfeverpete3693 I thought about it but didn’t do it because I tried soaking different plastics and they started to deteriorate but some are biodegradable 🤷🏾♂️. Might be worth a try though, I know that scent makes a huge difference!
I fished that pier last week and got a parking ticket 🤦🏾♂️ I have a parking pass, but I had no idea there was a Huntington state beach and Huntington city beach. Apparently my pass doesn't work at both of them
@@Stellarbaits the pass was definitely visible... But it's good to use at state parks, beaches and reservoirs. I looked it up after I got the ticket. It says Huntington state beach, so I'm assuming the city beach doesn't count... I just didn't know there was a difference... I thought they were the same beach
@@CatchnAvibe Damn bro didn’t they get you at 72nd Pl too 😅. Naw but it’s funny you mentioned that because I almost bought the yearly pass at Bolsa Chica state beach since they said you can also use it at Huntington state beach but then I found out Huntington city beach was not the same 😅.
@@FishingWithJRome they did get me at 72pl 😂. But I got the pass mainly for Lake Perris. But now I know I’ll have to surf fish if I want to use it at the beach

Cool day of fishing. I also have a hard time reading the surf. I fish a spot for 25 min. and if no action I move , repeat.

I once caught a 15 inch calico surfperch north of San Francisco
@@person105-t5i You sure it was a calico surf perch because the world record in CA is 12 inches/2 pounds.

Have you ever tried soaking your grubs with the sand worm stink?
I’ve tried it and it works. I’ll buy a pack of grubs and when I’m done using all the worms I pour the juice in the grub pack😄

That just sounds stupid. Maybe they just didn’t see your pass?
Might want to make a call on that one.

Get yourself a Kastmaster for bigger perch when you know they’re there. Gold and silver should get them bigger ones.
