- Today we take a look at my 2005 Mazda RX8. I have owned the car for 4 years and slowly have been building it. Recently I was able to fit a Pandem Widebody kit on my RX8. Along with wide wheels to match the new look.
I will be going over my tips and tricks to keeping the engine reliable. And the other mods I have put on my car.
I still have a lot of work to create my vision of my Rx8.

Love the widebody. Very aggressive and the best looking rx8 so far. Its like a must have for RX8 the stock fenders look ugly. Instant like with the subtle anime stickers

Shogunrx8 yeah the main thing that I learned about this car is maintenance we’re Garlist would people say it is not difficult whatsoever. Looking forward to the video! My buddy that I just met a few weeks ago has a 2006 shinka edition (1of 1250) .He’s got a lift and so much knowledge on this car its ridiculous . We just tackled my electric power steering issue I was we are just trying to restore my car to her former beauty in when I get my engine gonna be Street ported🤘🏻🔥

Royale Samurai do not do that move! I did the exact same thing back in 2008 and it was the worst decision I ever made. MPG is horrible and I spent so much on engine problems. Keep that Miata and drop a turbo in it!

You can mod, no problem.
Like take not doing your oil delete, using premix is gonna ruin your engine, withOUT doing the Proper mod..
Hey man! That's a great build you got going on there. Not a fan of the wheels but I guess it does compliment the general look of the car and the attached wide body.
Got a question for you though: I have an RX8 and I premix as well since I threw the cat out and installed a midpipe + resonator from Racingbeat: thing is - for some reason, after every fuel up (I fill up when I'm close to empty, so about 13.4 gal) it throws a P0171 code: "system too lean". The scanner tells me that it isn't a confirmed code (appears in pending), and it occasionally corrects itself when I reset it.
You think its the amount / ratio of premix I'm using? [I use about 6.4oz for 13.4 gal, following idemitsu's ratio] or is it something else that I have to pay attention to?
The code is killing me.
Maybe it's too lean because O2 sensor changed when Cat was removed. Does too lean mean "not enough fuel" ? Maybe increase premix to 1oz per gallon to "enrich" mix. Im not a mechanic but just learning from different Rx sites 👍⭐ Also i read that if u get OBD scanner with cell App, one can monitor readings while driving. Good luck & let us know with any changes 🙏☺
Was it hard putting on the body kit? I was looking at a pandem kit for the rx8 but its for a 2009 and I have a 2004, was it difficult to put yours on?

Should of got a isol mod to keep the rotary healthy and rotor Lubricated

Those wheels aren't SSR Viennas ... completely different face for the Vienna... those are weds kranze cerberus 1... I know as I have them for my supra and now on my MR2 turbo lol
How did you get flames?? Mine is straight piped and still nothing
I only have a cat delete in my 05 and I get about a 2 foot flame, it all depends on the condition of your engine and how much premix you use
I’m running a turbo XS catback and midpipe. Get the exhaust hot by doing some hard driving. Rev between 6-8k rpms , random redlines won’t work.
Someone said to get flames, Cat needs to be removed, then rev to 7k, release gas pedal to lower revs, then rev again. Let us know if that works 👍🎆🎇 Maybe premixing helps but unsure.
@@chrislg4519 I always get the best flames when I rev to 4k hold for a sec then quickly rev it to 8k, release, and rev again right after.
@@skylerbond56 Ok great thanks Skizzy 🌻 Im going to try with my 2005 Rx8. I may experiment with different premixes to see if helpful. i still have Catalytic converter so maybe flames wont shoot out because Cat suppress flames. Continued blessings 🌌🌠⭐👍
