1:19 rain world has a similar trick like this with its water physics, its called a ploink. it can technically happen with any of the playable slugcats i think (ive ploinked as a modded slugcat before) but its easiest/most extreme with rivulet who just has insanely fast movement stats. ploinking with a non-rivulet slugcat bareky does anything and its also just not something that happens often, the modded slugcat i played had like 1 mildly helpful ploink moment and the rest were just "oh. thats something i did. fun!". i dont know if animal well ploink and rain world ploink are anything alike with their water physics i just like the word ploink

Honestly this was the perfect video for you to make on this game, showing all the cool hidden stuff without spoiling too much of the gameplay loop for those who watched and haven't played. I 100%'ed the game and still saw so many things I never did playing (mostly after the cheater's ring grab). Super cool!
I finished Animal Well today. For me, it's a 9/10. Its well worth the price. Incredible game design, amazing visuals, and awesome secrets to discover. This video was was the cherry on top for me! Thank you grayfruit.
I recently got the game and started playing and while doing the groundhog room thing remembered this video and thought “good thing my backup isn’t supposed to run soon” and guess whose computer IMMEDIATELY started to run a backup after changing the time
I think I did the kevin skip on my first play through on accident. I just saw buttons, thought I gotta press those buttons, then did that exact thing without knowing what the intended solution was

Its pretty common for devs to just say fuck this thing and send it to the shadow realm in development, specifically this is super common in Bethesda games. A solo dev with a game thats so small it doesn't need that much optimization he might not have taken all that shadow realm content out of the game which explains the weird fake bunnies and paths

The only reason I could see the item being there, but not intended for use by the player, is if they put it in as a way for easy play testing. Then that begs the question of why there are red herring bunnies.

With the intent to throw off would-be cheaters or dataminers, to reward those who solve the puzzles the intended, "honorable" way. Billy even admitted to there being intentional red herrings in a recent AMA. The truth of the matter is that he didn't think the game's time capsule puzzles would be solved so soon, the resulting message says as much. Any methods of datamining or discovering these glitches/exploits just, did not have the time to fully develop before the proper puzzles were solved legitimately, so it worked out in the end. Which just leaves the fake bunnies as a bit of a slightly-malicious oddity & curiosity. There's 9 fake bunnies on the map, but internally there's 16, for a "full" bunny count of 32. There's no way to spawn the other fake ones, it's all just to mislead. A lot of the fake bunny rooms seem purposefully set up to make it appear to no-clippers that there should be legitimate ways to access/teleport to/open up these rooms, but there isn't.
I found the warp to the top of the well by mistake. I thought the cuckoo clock sound was a hint so I tried to replicate it with the flute, but I assumed a secret song would have mostly diagonal notes (I was a naive baby at the time) so I basically tried a bunch of two note diagonal combinations until I happened to find the one that worked.
theres actually a much easier way to get the cheaters ring. you only need the flute and the bubble wand. go to the room with the cheaters ring but he accessible side, then do the warp to the definitive version secret room, move around and warp back/forth a couple times and when you go back the third time your in the room with the cheaters ring
