WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY THRILLING FIRST GAME!! at first i rooted for an ascendancy win, then i just gazed at the paradoxically perfect timing and the cascade that followed. awesome stuff.
I appreciate CGB's insight with Meria. My way of thinking about it is, people think "I can run card advantage artifacts that will be mana rocks", but they forget that it is also "you can run mana rocks that tap for card advantage when you don't need the mana".

Cgb, please make a Slimefoot deck!! It's a cool Fungus tribal commander. It has a low cost, you draft some interesting fungus cards as well by only playing swamps and forests!!
I have a suspicion that whether or not a deck is in the hell queue is not algorithm based entirely. It's likely manually evaluated periodically. I say this because many of my brawl decks seem to play different opponents after a major release - including hell queue opponents I never played before with that deck. I have decks that had 80% win rates with large sample sizes suddenly turn into trash because of the hell queue or the rank below that competition.

Really enjoying this deck! I spent 3 of my mythic wild cards that I got from the Meathook ban to fill to make this. Still need to buy a handful of rares to really dial this in. This deck has some problems dealing with aggro. I love popping off with this deck.
I will say I absolutely love your historical Brawl content and hope others enjoy it as much as myself. I hope you continue producing these kinds of videos more often in the future. I know they must be taxing to create though. Appreciate ya.
It doesn't I'm afraid: you have no other way to untap all artifacts and play your entire deck, and you don't have stuff like sensei's top on arena to pull off other combo lines.
The problem with watching historic brawl content is there are so many cards in each deck. Every opponent plays a bunch of stuff the viewer doesn't know what it does and there isn't enough time to explain every card.
I can't believe paradox engine is legal in HB but big ugin isnt. is it because its banned in commander and wizarss wants to give players a reason to play HB? i figure thats the case with golos since that deck just autopilots itself and is heavily played on HB
Playing Meria has been a blast even if the cards I use aren't the most competitive. Amazing what a paradox engine and an aetherflux with a bunch of cheap artifacts can do.
Sam Black, Gomletx, and Nizzahon are my go to YTers for Drafts. If CGB ever drafts, it's because MTGNerdGirl made him. You won't find draft on this channel often.
be cool for day 3 to revisit a commander cgb already has done with the newer cards released since he last played them. or a non-hellqueue commander that was popular long ago, but updated with newer cards. e.g. idk if chulane is part of hell queue

Paradox engine needs to be banned. The card was so nuts it even got banned in actual commander. I'm genuinely shocked its still legal. It's even more oppressive in a 1v1 scenario due to less opportunity for disruption.
I hate how the opponent just uses the despark on the golem instead of holding it for the engine. I mean they realized its potential by thoughseizing it and conceiding to it
this video remembered me when CGB did the blood money deck, doing that thing that was so different, and suddenly everybody was doing blood money. I'll be not surprised if tomorrow i find a lot of Merias on the queue
I just find it sad that Magic has come down to this. The meta just needs one combo and that is it to win. Gone are the days of actual strategy and deck building now you just put together one combo and it is basically an instant win.
