    If you're curious about why a Harvest Right freeze dryer might be a fantastic addition to your home, stick around. Let me share a few reasons that'll show you just how awesome this gadget is.
    First off, let's talk about keeping your food fresh for ages. Imagine buying your favorite fruits and veggies, or even cooking up a big meal, and then being able to store it all for years without losing taste or nutrition. That's exactly what you get with a Harvest Right freeze dryer. This nifty machine sucks out all the moisture from your food, which stops bacteria in their tracks and keeps your food good as new for up to 25 years. It's like hitting pause on spoilage - super handy for building an emergency food stash or just saving your garden's bounty.
    But wait, there's more! Freeze drying at home means you're in control. You know exactly what's going into your food - no hidden additives or preservatives. Plus, the freeze-dried food retains almost all its original nutrients, so it's not just about lasting long, it's about staying healthy too.
    So, whether you're a meal prep enthusiast, a garden lover with too many zucchinis, or someone who likes to be prepared for any situation, a Harvest Right freeze dryer could be your new best friend in the kitchen.

    I own 8 of these machines. From smalls to XL, from home to pharmaceutical. The only one I don’t own is a scientific. Here is my experience. 1. They will break. I have the first Gen made back in 2017 still runs like a champ, got a new XL broke in the first 4 months of using it. Newer models aren’t built like the older ones. Next what size works for you, you can do that homework. Last I am going to keep buying freeze dryers for my business when it grows. But I’m looking at other brands out there. I heard stayfresh make a great machine, don’t own one (yet). But when I start selling off my harvest right machine I’ll let you know

    Could you also cover maintenance and cleaning aspects of the freeze dryer?

      Thanks for the feedback. We were buying them from Amazon, but we want to have our own custom bags designed, so we're looking on Alibaba.

    Just got a harvest right. I’m a little confused on when I need to throw an oxygen absorber in. If I’m doing skittles or candy jn s Mylar bag how long should it last without an absorber? If I’m putting candy or veggies I. Mason jars should I vacuum seal them or use an absorber or anything?

      Candies doesn't require OA, sugar doesn't mold...just need to be 100% dry (not when machine say it is, weight the product, do weight check after it say it's done).
      In mason jara it's safe to put OA and seal it (pump the air out, there're hand pumps for it, or use vacuum sealer), some say it doesn't require OA if you seal mason jar...but it's better to be double sure it won't get bad.

    How long does it usually take to freeze dry a batch of candy?

    • @PrepaheadPioneer
      @PrepaheadPioneer  7 місяців тому

      It depends, but most of what we did was finished in in 24 - 30 hours.

    How does it compare to other freeze dryers in terms of noise level?

      They all seem to be similar. It is a bit louder than a refrigerator running.

    Question : If you're putting the food in a 5 gallon buckets , why would you first put the food in bags and then into the buckets ?? If they're food grade buckets isn't that good enough ??

    • @PrepaheadPioneer
      @PrepaheadPioneer  5 місяців тому +2

      Food grade buckets still let in air. Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers won't let air in.

    Probably do not buy from Harvest Right. These machines are more like prototypes and not ready for market. I have had constant issues and it is now a paperweight in my basement.

    A freeze dryer is well worth it . . . BUT NOT Harvest Right!!! Though they have been around awhile they No longer are the best buy or choice out there. Do your research there are other Freeze Dryers that are of higher quality and out perform Harvest Right with much less problems. Buyer Beware!!

      I have 3. Never an issue and they run non-stop. Could be you just hear more about HR because they are the biggest seller of freeze dryers.

    • @kuroimushi9421
      @kuroimushi9421 4 місяці тому +2

      They may outperform and be better quality...but that comes with double or triple price...and who would have that money ( when it's already hard to afford HR)? If you have freezedryer at the same price but better components...send links.

      I would never buy another Harvest Right freeze drier. Issue after issue. I have Spent more time diagnosing issues than freeze drying food. If you value your time and sanity do not buy a Harvest Right.
