Joshua Hill I am not sure really. Just like the Discovery I think the Disc 3 and 4 are much better than the new 2017 model. Do we really need those big screen and technology in the car?
@@millionpoundlisting9717 I see both sides of the argument, technically, no, you don't need the screen, but if they weren't in some people would moan about it not being properly modern if the screens weren't there, I personally prefer to have the screen. you could probably turn the assist features off if you prefer or if you like the adventure of using a map and maybe getting lost then not using the screens as a map is still an option. (The old model is an icon, no doubt. But production at some point was always going to end. Luckily there are companies out there that restore and modify the classic models so it lives on)
Ok, it's growing on me. But here are the issues Land Rover (and I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this) 1. It's too expensive. 2. British Military can't use it, so what should their replacement be? 3. 25 ECU's! Are you kidding me?! The whole reason people like the series land rovers and the defenders with a 200TDi is because there are no ECU's. That's the whole point, that you've at least got a chance of fixing it if you're off the beaten track. What you've done there is add 25 additional potential points of failure. That's why people prefer the 200TDi to the 300TDi. 4. It's too 'chelsea tractor' inside, I wouldn't want to step in there with muddy boots. 5. Given the high cost of even the 90, I can imagine it's extremely expensive to fix, why would I take this off road where I could hit a rock, or tree or go through gravel and chip paint if it's going to cost hundreds or even thousands of pounds to fix. Maybe what you should have done is kept making the original defender with a 200TDi engine, it's almost be a USP and could work like it's so simple people could learn to fix it themselves, it can go anywhere and is pretty barebones inside so you don't have to worry about getting it dirty, you know like proper defenders... And maybe brand this as 'Defender 2.0' for weekend worriors and Mums in London taking their kids to school down the road before getting their hair done or whatever. I just don't understand why Land Rover stopped production of the original defender?! Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of things I like about this, some really cool tech, it just shouldn't be on a land rover defender.
Master Plan I think they want to make the Defender as their best selling car. So inevitably, some form of tech has to be in there. Except when you buy an SUV and not really needing one (E.g for professional Use, not including shopping or professional Cafe visits), you are actually partaking in destroying Mother Earth by using a car that takes more materials to build, have a higher weight and more wind resistance resulting in worse fuel economy and higher strain on the roads. And it frankly doe not matter if it is a Toyota, LandRover or any other SUV - same same.
@@HesteBremse Did the device that you used to write this comment, which is made almost by 70% with materials from a mine in Congo where children work for 18usd cents, build in China and transported to your country by ship which produces as many Co2 than thousands of SUV, saves our Mother Earth? Every activity that we do brings huge effect to our nature, even driving a tesla!
@@George24peace I agree to that statement George, nobody and nearly nothing is without implications and negative effects on nature, my device included. Never the less when talking cars - SUV´s used mainly as urban transportation is surely not the best choice - much less can do the same. And in fact, I do not mind SUVs if they serve a meaningful purpose - I know a few professionals that do need a 4x4 to be able to do what they do. Another problem is that SUVs has become so popular that they have moved from a much smaller segment into the very large segments and that is where it really starts to matter. Even all the supercars and top sports cars are made in so small numbers globally that their effect is extremely marginal compared to the large segments. Essentially we should aim to create cars and devices with very long lifespans to reduce the resource deficit which currently is not adding up. Perhaps that is another thing the old Defenders had going for them even that this is usually not the centre point of that debate.
Land rover team, i hope you can answer this question. is there gonna be a work edition thats cheaper, because the car is great but its just too expensive

If I had the money, I definitely would buy this as son as possible! Perfect!
Unbelievably awesome! 😍
Land rover team, i hope you can answer this question. is there gonna be a work edition thats cheaper, because the car is great but its just too expensive
New Defender will be a family of rugged 4x4s, including, next year, practical 90 and 110 Commercial derivatives. Click the link in our description to learn more.
Absolutely love interior, but I feel as if something’s missing front
We'd recommend seeing new Defender in person - we think the design shines even more there. Visit our website via the link in our description to book a test drive and see for yourself.
@@landrover I hope its better in person. In pictures, it leaves a lot to be desired. Two questions: 1- Is there going to be a topless version? 2- on the 90, is the body colored panel on the window removable?
Put a winch on it and you’re covered
If you think something is missing then sounds like you see a space for opportunity to add something yourself. Good ideas will only make this car more "yours"
Just bloody love that 90!
ഇവിടെ കിടക്കട്ടെ ഒരു മലയാളിയുടെ മലയാളം കമന്റ്.... ലവ് യു ലാൻഡ് റോവർ 🥰
Love it. Will order the 110 when available in the US. Curious about the reason for the view blocking panel over the rear wheel arch. Looks cool from the outside but seems to be frustrating from the inside?
Ah, I so want one. Must get that lottery ticket tomorrow. Wish me luck!
It has everything... I ever wanted... ❤️ One word... Wowwww...
Most Kickass design of land rover till now. Can't wait to buy it after 5 6 year if someone is willing yo sold secondhand😂😂
Man I'm sold, was thinking of the new Porsche or the Q8 but this suv here is a winner!
दुनिया मे दो तरह के लोग है एक वो जिसने land rover चलाई है और एक वो जिन्होंने नही चलाई।
I want to see this Defender do Cape to Cairo. That’s the surest way to see if it lives up to the capabilities of its predecessors.
Great suggestion! We'll keep it in mind...
Love you land Rover ,we love all land rovers
Alright Toyota, let's step your game up and show us what you got with the 6th gen 4runner. This new Defender is so well thought out and packed with technology. Looks amazing. Only draw back IMO is the large wheel sizes.
Fantastic looks great....can't wait for new Range Rover sport
Awesome work from Land Rover!!!
I do believe I must require one of this vehicles.
