Russell's viper (Daboia russelii) is one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. It kills many people every year and it belongs to Big 4 - venomous snakes which kill most people in India. These vipers have a strong venom and are common in the agricultural landscape. In this video you will see the Russell's viper shedding skin! Snakes shed their skin after some time when the old skin becomes too small. The new skin is shiny and beautiful. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

Glad you enjoyed it! No problem, hopefully next time you will manage to come to the premiere! :) Such a stunning snake this was after shedding.

I used to do snake educational talks to groups and schools. Snakes shedding was the item they found most interesting especially seeing shed skins. Great video again many thanks.
We also do snake talks and show snake shed skins :) Thank you for watching!
I saw a Russell viper July 1983 near Madras.I was very lucky and met Romulus Whitaker, who took me out on a snake hunt. Great video as usual.
Wow, it must have been so cool to meet Romulus! We were never lucky to meet him. Thank you for watching!
@@LivingZoology I was only 21 at the time, I met him at his reptile park near Madras. I appreciate you guys as you always reply back. Most people on you tube don bother. I am having a bad time with my health so if I do not comment on a video you know why.
@@nepaleseman1010 Wow, you were lucky to meet him and also at a young age! Yes, we always reply to reasonable comments :) We wish you to feel better soon! Stay safe!
The photography is amazing in this video, and I can hardly believe how beautiful the colors and patterns of this snake are after shedding.
Thank you very much! Yes, the snake looked so beautiful after shedding!
Incredible footage, well done indeed!!
Thanks a lot!
Beautiful to watch such an easy shedding. The freshly shed snake looks spectacular.
We agree, it was so cool to witness this! The colors of this viper after shedding were stunning!
Beautiful snake very nice coloring I wonder if after a shedding if a snakes senses to touch and feel are greater do to the fresh skin
Thank you for watching! The snake definitely has better eyesight after shedding. Also the other senses might be better without a layer of an old skin.
Great Clip, beautiful snake!
Thank you very much!
Love ur necklaces!!!
Thanks you! :)
Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Zdravím zase jeden z mých milášků i v mojí lidské péči co umí hejbat s zuby i překřížit... Díky s pozdravem Petr.

Another great video
Thanks again!
Great stuff! When you guys coming back to India? Big fan from Mumbai.👍
Thanks for watching! We hope to come back soon!
I love how it looks like snakes are breathing through their skin as the snake inhales and exhales. Quite dramatic in a way.
We agree, when snakes breathe and you look in detail it looks quite dramatic 🙂
What a beautiful snake. Nice necklaces as well.
Thank you for watching! Haha, we love our necklaces! :)
Please do a video on the saw scaled viper too 🙏🏽
We will! We managed to find 2 Saw-scaled vipers in India recently :)
2:32 simply stunning contrast
Yes, the snake was nicely colorful after shedding!
That was exquisite. LOVE
Thank you so much!!!

Beautiful video. That snake has seen some battles, lot's of scar tissue.
Thank you very much! Yes, we were absolutely shocked when we saw the number of scars this snake had! The human-snake conflict is big in India. We think that this Russell's viper might have survived several attacks from people.
Very nicely framed. Thanks for giving place to this majestic creature in your documentaries. Very few western zoologist/snake experts talk about this highly venomous and unique snake. Thus it lacks to get the actual credit as compared to other Viperadae.
Many thanks! We think that the Russell's viper is one of the most interesting vipers. There will be another video about it on our channel :)
The photography as usual, Beautiful. The pigeons or doves sound the same as in California.
Thank you very much! Sounds of doves are quite similar even in different continents!
Such amazing footage, what a lucky find! It was borderline asmr watching that gorgeous snake unveil itself from that old skin.
Were those white marks scars from encounters with rival vipers or other predators?
Thank you very much! We were surprised when we saw all those scars. This snake probably had some encounters with humans or dogs/cats in the past. What a survivor! The live of an deadly snake ✨
Yes! :)
This will be interesting
We hope it was interesting! :)
Very similar pattern with vipera ammoditis i think all vipers are cousins
Maybe a bit similar. Vipers belong to family Viperidae, so yes, they are related.
