Hello. Just a disclaimer. At Stepney Green, I talk about how there was an Interchange to Bethnal Green Overground station (do ignore this part) - I had got it confused with Bethnal Green on the Central line!
I was born in Wimbledon in 1987 and lived there till we moved to a different country in 1995. Watching this hits hard, I miss that place and often wonder what could have been.
that's an awesome video! it would be sooooo great to have a Upminister-Richmond POV ❤ Or maybe you would be able to do a Barking - Wimbledon? anyways, thanks for that insane video!!
First time on this journey, and it's quite interesting would have liked more info at some of the stations also during tunnel runs no signal lights spotted but thanks for the ride.
Thank you! The narration was more of a trial / error sort of thing, though it seems that people liked the "simplistic" style of my narration. It's interesting because I made it specifically so the narration stops 15 seconds before the train stops at each stop - though no one will probably notice that 😂
I also made it so the volume becomes quieter if there's something I wanted to narrate - that way, there's a focus between the narration and the actual train
@@TransporterTony I liked the stops announcement at the beginning. I didn't know part of the line was shared with main line, LU is usually third rail +420 and fourth -210, is third rail +630 or +750 and fourth ground for that portion of the line ? How does transition work ?
I can't speak for anyone else but if you're going to do voiceovers I think you should do them in a more neutral, normal voice, not a mock-announcement voice. Voiceovers are a minefield in general, and not automatically a good idea - many people prefer content that speaks for itself. As for telling people to mute it, as I see you've suggested to someone else - I like having all the sounds from the journey to accompany the video.
Nice to see my old man's old signalbox Wimbledon A is still standing, he used to upset the LT drivers as he would only talk to them in a derogatory manner calling the tube a toy railway amongst things and I do believe the traction manager at LT whispered in the ear of someone senior on BR signalling side and me father was told to pack it in.

Fulham Broadway is for Chelsea, Putney Bridge is for Fulham.
Aldgate East and Mile End stations remind me of the stations on the New York Subway with those cream-coloured columns on the platforms.
Only LU stations are way older then NY subway stations. LU is the worlds oldest subway/rapid transit system.
Great video Tony thank you so much for posting. The conversation with the driver was really informative too. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏great job.

Absolutely brilliant video. And enjoyed the commentary
Superb footage and great commentary. Thanks for posting!!!!
You do know you can get off at Southfields for the lawn tennis club. That's the closest stop on the District line for it.😊
Commentary is great, very good information about stuff. Thanks for the video. 😊
The disused station before Tower Hill was called Mark Lane.
Nice video and commentary, Tony excellent.
very clean. greart video and well done!
Good to see a tube cab ride with decent resolution.
Thank you. I believe as technology moves forward, you want to raise the standards a but more.
So interesting to see some of the District line now driven automatically
It's me from the train!

I suppose automatic trains don't need signals, much like they don't need drivers.
Nice
I don't usually watch tube cab rides but this one was enjoyable, liked the announcements

Must agree here. Also, muting the driver just when he was talking about something interesting was rather frustrating.
Well done.
Thank you to the driver/Train Operator as well as TfL.
I'm looking forward to this!!!
I have a question: How do you get to film at the cab? I emailed TFL, but I don't think they understand what I mean???
By asking drivers if you can get one I ask and they let me In
U purely have a talented Julie berry voiceover bro love ittttt
Aw, thank you :)
Scotty,
Nice to see Gus making a appearance I like the race track would be good to open it up
Just one point. At Victoria you mentioned Thameslink. Even though it shows on travel apps i have never seen a Thameslink train there. Excellent video
Can't Wait For This!!
Great Video, Tony!✨Enjoyed every minute of it!
👍
This train going to Barking?
No this train meows
so they still have a tripcock tester at earls court despite the cbtc
So some of the line is ATO?
When did you make this video
When district line terminates at Barking, do the driver switch route to hammersmith and city line?
They usually head back to Wimbledon, or wherever it’s coming from via the terminating bay.
No.
Victoria line next?
How do u get a cab ride mind asking
If you dont like commentary try Ben Elias or Rail Relaxation for a better experience/watch 😊
Hi, do you have any recommendations for people who like commentary?

I think Tony you need to change the headline to Wimbledon from Richmond? Good video though and thanks!
All fixed, thank you :)
You forgot to put Wimbledon
Mr transit ik that’s ur voice in the new game announcements for tains
Perhaps 👀
It always amazes me, even now in 2024, just how totally useless the headlights are on tube trains 😄
Since when is big Ben a landmark, it's a bell !
Queen Elizabeth tower !
District Line S7 Tube Stock
You’re on every video naming what the train is called I’m pretty sure 99% of the people who watch the videos know what the train is called.
Wimbledon park is for Wimbledon tennis not golf
Minky
Would be much better without the voice over...
Ah. You can always er.. mute it?
Actually I like the narrative very much. @@TransporterTony
Excellent video, i liked the information, not too much, just right. 🚇😁
