Makes me think of Fathers For Justice, remember them? Dressed as superheroes, climbing buildings, drawing media attention to the fact they had no legal rights to remain a parent to their child after breaking up with the mother.
Fools, I thought, at the time. Obsessive, deluded absentee dads...
But they changed the law, or brought a light to bear on a moral injustice until somehow the law got changed. Giving common-law (unmarried) dad's the same parental rights as those who had stood and said "I do," and now for better or for worse a man can see his babies grow and know them all their lives, if he is such a man as to try to see it through, despite whatever weakness or mistake or losing battle might lead him away from the family and the future he has made, which has been made for him and for them all.
I think of my daughter, now eighteen, who came to live with me aged seven years old and how proud I am to be her dad, how her hopes and dreams are all I'm working for, really, even now as the life she is making for herself begins to lead her away: and though I'm so far removed from any kind of hero, she's both my kryptonite and the power I need to help me rise, and if not for her I'd be nothing and no-one and never would have been able to listen to this song, and to cry, without shame, to give thanks for the strength she has given me.

As a father, who`s Son and beautiful Wife are 6,000 miles away, this is one of the most moving things I have ever watched or heard. His lovey Wife is expecting
my first Grandchild this month. After many cancelled flights, not seen them in 4 years I`m so looking forward to seeing them all and their new baby.
