When a husband is convicted of murdering his wife, there should be a policy of changing her last name, back to her maiden name. It’s an insult to refer to someone by the last name of their murder.
I agree. I think that happened in the case of Chris Watts, who murdered his wife, two daughters, and unborn son. I believe that they were all buried with Shannan’s (wife’s) maiden name

Without the state stepping in , dad had control over what happened to his kids. He placed them with his mother, who was openly hostile to Ana. Is that who she would want taking care of her kids?
Just because the state got custody, it doesn’t mean they will have to stay in a foster home. Maybe short term , but if there are friends willing to keep them and they can pass the background check , at the very least, (home study might be required ) protective services would much rather place them there . There’s a shortage of foster homes everywhere.
I do wonder if Ana had a will that included guardianship of her kids in the event she and their father couldn’t make decisions.
Meanwhile, Suzanne Morphew remains “missing” and is apparently forgotten.
As her husband walked away after his murder charge was dismissed, he reminded us that “the killer is still out there.”

Another very deep Domestic Violence case that gives a great example how the victim is groomed not to speak up or remain to close with other friends and family. Emotional abuse can be just as dangerous if not more than physical abuse. How much more will it take to make these changes and charges with perpetrators. The justice system needs to change more laws and stop using the courts for welcome mats regarding DV.

You're definitely going to see many, many more. I'm never surprised by these murders (if, in fact, this is a murder - presumption of innocence and all) anymore in marriages headed for divorce. Many men see no way out that won't leave them destroyed by family courts. I'm not saying I think it's a solution but I can certainly understand how it happens and I believe it will continue to happen.

Only a sociopath can do this. Only a sociopath doesn't think how his kids will grow up orfans, with the knowledge they have genes of a father who cut their mother to pieces. Her mother is old. I wonder if anyone in her family can care for these boys. The state is not known to be good to place children. It is a dangerous place for little kids. Ana's friends have collected money to make sure the state keeps the children together. I don't know how this will work out. Poor babies.....homeless.

Her mother is old and her health is bad..She can barely take care of herself. Ana has a sister in Canada so let's hope she is able to save them from the system.

It is clear he chopped her up. There is nothing to find, he likely disposed of the pieces in various places, which seems to be what Fotus Dulos did to his wife. No body was found either. They put small pieces in dumpsters, knowing it will go into an incinerator. No body ! The case is all circumstantial , but very strong and should not distract the jury who likes to see smoking guns. Not needed !

I would have thought him wearing the ankle bracelet that it would go off with him leaving the house if he was under house arrest, but they did go out to New Year's Eve dinner with a friend. I guess that's why they didn't track him when he left the house to go to the dumpsters in various locations. Another thing I don't get is him destroying his father's will. My parents will is recorded at the registry of deeds, and any time I needed to get a certified copy I had to go there. I couldn't use a copy of the document I had. If a lawyer had done the will, it would have been recorded. The will they show looks to be similar to the one recorded, but I guess maybe not his. RIP Ana.

For the police to rule out the house burning down (???), they must have had strong evidence that she was not in anyway, still at her home.

Such are the times we live in today...a "husband" who clearly was unsuccessful and was jealous of his wife's success...seems like a motive for most of these losers who would do such a thing to their wife. Her selfies were a tad much for a married woman, no doubt he probably accused her of "cheating" or having an affair because of posting such pictures, but perhaps she just had a desperation for likes, because she wasn't getting attention from her husband? And I am sure she got attention, she was a beautiful woman and mother. So very sad indeed. As someone else stated here, I sure hope they find some trace evidence...or something much more...so they can nail this loser and lock him up for life.

I heard the poor little boys have no family to take them and that they will more than likely have to be separated. I live in Canada and I don’t know how to go about it but I would take all three of those little boys so they could stay together as my daughter is an adult now and on her own. It’s bad enough they lost both parents but to be separated is awful.
But Ana has a mom and sister so why they are not allowed to take those poor boys?

There is a critical shortage of foster homes.
I wish those who are concerned about three siblings being separated , would take the steps to become foster parents, if possible🫶🏻
Some states have areas with almost no foster homes . The residential group homes, that are supposed to be short term, are always full , so the protective services offices in some places,have been turned into holding areas , including where they sleep. These are working offices!!
When protective services has to make a decision to remove a child, they also have to consider if they would be able to place them. Believe me, some kiddos remain in , what most of us would consider, bad situations because there aren’t enough places for them to go.
I think Ana’s friends should get legal help to guide them through the custody process, especially for the long term. I do think protective services would prefer the kiddos remain together with a family friend , but they have to be vetted.

They would be the first choice of protective services. Just because the state got custody, it doesn’t mean the kids will be taken away from family and friends. The thing is, dad still has legal rights and he decided to leave the kids with his mother. She hated Ana.
The state ( protective services AND the courts) is now in charge of making decisions. It’s possible dad is fighting that and has said he doesn’t want his kids with Ana’s family or friends. A judge will ultimately have to decide , if that’s the case. Dad still has a say, legally 🤮but this way, the courts can look out for the kids best interests . They’ll be appointed a Guardian Ad Litem who will independently represent the kids’ best interests.

Where were the kids when Ana “disappeared”? Where they taken from the home where Brian Walshe was?
I had the same question from the day one but nobody is telling where were the kids. Where were they when he left for store to buy stuff - 6,4,2 are too young to be left on their own
He called a baby sitter when he went out shopping. The kids were probably at home sleeping when he killed her, unfortunately. Oh, the oldest child age 6 was left in the car while he shopped in Home Depot.

My youngest sister married a narcissus who went from being a handsome young man, both working, having a good office job and just getting by; later he got a job as a nursing home director. In time he got involved in the Dixie Mafia. He was taping the phone line in there home, she found out, so she put a tap on the line and from what she learned became afraid of him, that he might have her killed, to know this man one would never see this side of him. He showed the perfect life in every way. My sister had enough and divorced him and he remarried, he was worth 21 million, and on his deathbed ( died of prostate cancer,) he had murdered 4 people, this is what he confessed to their son. So if you don't trust a spouse, take all the precautions you can! I recall one night I was visiting, just my sister and I, and she was alarmed by something unusual outside and we both were running around with guns checking everything out, we may have scared them away by being armed with some big pistols.
To my thinking, Anna was very smart, but she trusted too much and let her guard down. you can't do that with a narcissus! If she was thinking about leaving him, she should have cut the ties and left like my sister did. This type of relationship is a cat-and-mouse game!
I divorced my husband and lived happily ever after.
In 2014 Brian threatened to kill Ana. Following that she went on to have three children with him. Hey Ana, let’s run against a red light.

All women need to remember that men are bigger and stronger than we are. If you do not have an “equalizer” that you are trained and skilled in using, you need to be ready to run at the first whiff of a threat. Sadly that’s just how the deck is stacked. Sounds like she was preparing to run. Sometimes you just can’t take the time to prepare.
