I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. Hi Tiffany, maybe you could get Matt to make a post on your instagram? Just to say how you are doing and that you made it through the surgery ok? We would never expect a video from you as you are recovering, but a simple post from Matt might work if you think that's ok?
I am in Canada and next Saturday we hope to put up our tree. In a couple of days I am going Black friday shopping and then I will be all finished my Christmas shopping.

@@truthseeker9010 that is correct. Radiation killed her ovaries sending her into menopause, the cancer was touching the uterus already and to be on the safe side, it was removed. The doctors don't know if the cancer was completely killed until surgery, they had to send out the test to pathology and 2 days later found out it was Cleary. My wife too is young, our best option was to remove all areas associated to move towards the goal of curable.

Tiffany, as a mom to adult children can I please please please assure you, your mom wants to be by your side! There would be nothing worse than to have to be at home away from a child who is going through what you are going through. If your mom says she wants to be at the hospital with you, believe her. If she is saying she would prefer to sleep beside you in a chair rather than at home in her own bed, believe her. Do not feel any guilt or remorse or your mother going through this beside you. I guarantee you there is no other place she would choose to be. Being asked to not be beside you would be a type of torture, a mothers need to mother never ends and it is a mothers honour to nurture and care for her child; most especially her adult child. Sending you every bit of love and prayers my heart and soul can muster. Stay positive you beautiful soul, “WE’VE GOT THIS”.

You're 100% right! You know communication is so complicated.
Best way to really have a conversation is for Tiffany to say to her Mom -" I'd love it if you stayed with me at night but I want you to get proper sleep in your own bed. Do you understand"? Then Tiffany listens to how her mom replies. It's true that she won't be having a
"proper sleep" if she is worrying.

Your reconstruction will be performed by a plastic surgeon. You should ask the plastic surgeon to show you pictures of reconstructive outcomes after Pelvic Exenteration. You need to know if they will use a mesh (allogenic or xenogenic) for the perineum reconstruction or if they will perform a flap reconstruction. You said that your surgery will take 12 hours, you might have the flap reconstruction. The flap is cheaper, but the operative time and length of hospital stay is longer. In order to avoid being surprised, you must be prepared. Deanna Wehrung is a cancer survivor. In 2007 she had a total pelvic exenteration. I am passing on to you something she said that was so beautiful " In retrospect, I had no idea what was in store. Even after looking into it, I didn’t really have any concept of what life would be like afterwards. And you can’t know, unless you’ve actually experienced it. But I’ve always been a positive person. So, that’s the way I’ve tried to look at this. The total pelvic exenteration was just part of my path. And I was going to make the best of it.But it’s amazing to think about what anatomy is and how it can be manipulated to work with what we have now versus what we’re born with. My total pelvic exenteration forced me to be creative and think outside the box in some areas. But I have no regrets. I try to make the most of what I’ve been given and not dwell on what I haven’t. Because every single bad day is better than no day at all". In short Tiffany always remember "every single bad day is better than no day at all". Could you please let us know what day and time your surgery will take place. On that particular day, I will fast and pray for you.Kisses from the United Sates.

His health started to deteriorate and his doctor begged him to stop coming every day. He refused, so I had to tell him to spend a few days at home. I think it's just part of being a parent. Your child is everything. Keep telling Amma to stay home she may not listen. I think one day in the future when you and Matt have children (adopted, surrogacy) you will know just how much love you have for your children. My mom and dad are both gone now, but the memories of their love are still there and keep me going on days I'm not doing well. Stay strong you got this. I have many illnesses from chemotherapy, other medications and the cancer. It's really hard, life is very different from other people my age, but I'm still very grateful to be here.
I think you have the same attitude. No matter what, you will keep going, get through it with a positive attitude and you will live many many more good years, even though it won't be easy. Dear, sweet Tiffany. You're going to be so relieved once the surgery is done and over. The pain is so much better than thinking and dealing with cancer each day. You are a beautiful soul and lovely young woman. As a mum of 2 daughters 33 and 37 I would always want my girls to share their fear and pain with me. I know when I went through breast cancer 2x I did not tell my mum about the 1st time and only let her know about 8 months later when I was done with surgeries etc. She said why would you not tell me, I'm your mum and I want to be there for you. I'm sure your mum feels the same so if she needs to cry just let here, remember she may want to cry with you and share her feelings. She's a wonderful lady. ❤️ . Praying for you always. You've Got This.

In so grateful that the doctor ordered you to be inpatient after the bleeding from last time.
Now, I understand your thoughts on the pain medication but hear me out.
Pain control is not something to consider at another time : “I won’t take it now for my pain bc I won’t have it later”
When you are controlling pain to get you through and comfortable Tiffany, it’s not your responsibility to balance it with how you may or may not feel later.
You manage pain in the present.
You let your staff help you.
There aren’t any hero’s for tolerating the most pain.
So let your staff help you. You are not abusing or otherwise misusing pain medication. This is what they make it for.
For young women who have had bits removed surgically that caused bleeding and pain.
You deserve to be comfortable at very minimal.

Hello Tiffany- I'm in the USA and have had lots of surgeries. (Most recently, my leg was amputated.) I was in the hospital last year over Christmas and New Years. Things I brought/bring were a soft brightly colored blanket (a throw-- not something huge), a plastic basket to help organize all of those little things (ex. small toiletries bag with hair brush, mirror, tweezers, lip balm lotion, dry shampoo and deodorant, pen and note pad, camera batteries/chargers, any little treats/snacks that you may be allowed, puzzle books if you do that sort of thing.) that you might want nearby when you are alone. I have a little Eeyore plush animal that I bring to cuddle when I'm sad or lonely (and I'm 54!). If you bring your own pillow, put a bright pillow case on it, so it won't end up in the hospital laundry or you leave it when you go home. My partner brought me a small fiber optic tabletop Christmas tree that I could have on my window sill/shelf. (the hospital went into lock down and he couldn't come see me after a bit.) It was nice at night with it twinkling in my room. Best wishes...you've got this!

We all are pretty tough, but no one has gone through the things you’ve gone through and not lashed out at loved ones, or sulked why me why me over and over til they couldn’t get out of it, or let their mother be burdened with Everything they were feeling you’ve done none of these things you’ve handled it all so GRACIOUSLY it’s amazing to watch. The readers that are angry that say you make cancer look easy is not because it’s easier for you it’s because you put Everyone ahead of yourself and you Spare Everyone else. Any of your true followers can see that. There are people in this world that are just pure souls and you are one of them. We are all here for you hang in there.

As a mom myself I assure you that not only would it be torturous to be away from you but it's actually meaningful to care for our kids when they're in need. She doesn't want you to suffer but if you have to suffer she wants to be with you. I promise.

I lived at Sloan Kettering. My baby brother had surgery on his first wedding anniversary. He was 21 at the time. He is now healthy and cancer free. God has your back sweety! 😍 🧁

You're so brave Tiffany, I know you have so many people to consider in your life and you always put them first even though you're the one going through cancer and I just feel like that kind of kindness is a rare thing in this world. You're truly wonderful, and I believe you got this, you will get through the surgery and the life on the other end will be worth it ♥

We are all supporting you and it reminds me of my time in hospital just wanted to leave and left the next day after my op. Sweet dreams when you get into your own bed hopefully tonight.
