Seeing my man bounce to the cheers of his name literally brought me to tears. My son is autistic and loves to hear his name. It’s his favorite thing to say. God bless this young man and his family.
Kudos to you, I remember when I was a kid and helped with an autistic festival that was held every year. Even as a kid, I loved doing it because I have never witnessed the amount of appreciation that was shown at those festivals. In my honest opinion, individuals with autism are the absolute most down to earth people among us and I love it.❤️🙂

I had the same thought about the look on Simon’s face after Kodi ‘s 1st performance. His features looked softened. Just like he looks during this performance.I was was amazed by this!! He was the 1st judges out of his seat after Kodi sang at his 1st performance 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗!
This is a powrful example of how a person with autism is locked in in many ways. He found a way out. Through music. It's simply amazing. Don't ever discredit or minimize someone with a diagnosis. They comprehend more than you think.
Quiet Storm oh yeah, but some did not, some were scared and afraid for their child and did the best they could which was give them to a family that could love and nurture him. Just shows you what love and having security can do. I am glad that he is safe and happy. I remember when Howard stern took in this badly abused cat who was without hair and loved him and his wife saw him say to her as the cat gazed lovingly, yeah apple I bet those *****holes if they could see where you are now in this million dollar house they would be sorry! I thought it was so cute. And true. How can you hurt a child, or vulnerable person, sick, old, disabled, or retarded, etc. or an animal who will only wants to be loved and taken care of and gives you back so much for so little. Unconditional love, is such a wonderful gift. It hurts my heart and yours to know people can be so selfish and cruel to hurt such a loving kind innocent soul that just wants to love you and be loved and cared for in return. ❤️⭕️❌
He is a once in a lifetime talent no doubt. Beyond that, the look in his mother's face is absolutely the look of pure, perfect love. Her joy for her son almost brings tears to my eyes.
Not only that but hes a real rare guy too. If you do a little research on him you'll find hes one of 7 people in the world considered to have perfect pitch. He can play a bunch of instruments and speak other languages. But that's how autism works. Where something might lack other things excel. A movie called the rain man is about a similar guy who had many disadvantages but had a photographic memory and could read two pages in a book at once.
I love watching Simon's face. Very few contestants have had that kind of impact on him. That boy is a treasure, so talented and pure. LOVE him, and his Mom is amazing.
yes, Simon seems to have a special place in his heart for people with disabilities I noticed... kodi, Susan, Mandy...people with disabilities and dogs I noticed... I have autism too so I notice and appreciate how they are so considerate to them since I can relate to being overwhelmed by too much touching or loud social situations
tbh anyone who plays/ed piano know once you learn the keys it’s all muscle memory. so while incredible he learned while blind, playing after you’ve learned, most could play with eyes closed. takes nothing away from his awesomeness. incredible talent!!
His condition has granted him the ability to produce music in it's purist form. When he sings you don't think about the lyrics; you try to imagine yourself in his shoes.
He sings out of tune many times in every song I've heard so I don't think he won because of his talent. I mean he does have talent but there are many other singers more talented and his disability definitely helped him win.
@@tristancoveny7664 I bet you he'd probably would have had a harder time with all his senses intact. To see the things we see and the negativity all around us can put a damper on our talent, our imagination and our creativity. He has the privilege of seeing the world as he imagines it and I bet you it has a lot to do with the talent we now appreciate. I mean, we that have everything we know we are blessed but guess what, we use our sight to judge others and even worse, to judge ourselves. Kodi will most probably never feel insecure about his height, his body (if he's slim or fat) if the girl or guy he loves looks like what is acceptable to the world etc. I know it's probably not easy for him, I use probably because he's never had his sights so to him it's easy to do the things we think are not easy for him, it might have been exceptionally difficult for his parents but just take a look at the end product, HE IS THE MAN WE HAVE COME TO KNOW AS KODI LEE. We know him and he stands out for us because of how unique he is.
They also just played this song for Sand Artist, Kseniya Siminova who just got her second golden buzzer, this time though on Britains Got Talent: Champions!
Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder and then there's Kodi Lee. He truly belongs in that elite group! What an angelic voice from the heavens and such an incredible talent!!
You mean the dislikes of this video? Who knows. May be his ethnicity? His outfit? Needing his mom to guide him? The most likely reason is Kodi is achieving the sucess although being doubly disabled, while the haters who are physically able cannot.

@Iorghans nikki and to others who disagreed with nikki There's nothing wrong with nikki's comment and should not reply with "idiot ". Self if not a Christian or any religions but a Buddhist. However, I believe in GOD base on my own religion (of coz not your GOD). Our present life in this earth has been written before as what we are and who we are. We were born with a reason. Some borned with disabilities. Some bornred in wealth family, and so on. Every of us no matter is healthy or disability, we do have certain talent which is hidden inside our own without our knowledge or yet to be discover. Kodi's talent has been discovered. That's why he's on the stage. So, whether is a gift from GOD or not, is up to each individual to justify as we have own rights to call Gift From God, Gift From Devil, Gift From Mom.... Sorry guys, hope no offense to all. It just my own view only.
Marcelo Soprano i hate it when people disregard all the hours kodi has put in to improving his vocal range and general skill, and blame it on “god” i honestly can’t wait for the day when people finally start studying and really realizing that god is just a non existent figure people use for comfort
His voice is absolutely amazing !! Backstory aside he is better than most mainstream musicians out there. Plays the piano like he was born to do it as well
Autistic people can actually be extremely intelligent and creative, using what ways they can to communicate and express themselves to other people. I went to school with this kid named Rex, he was autistic and was kind of stressing and would attack people out of frustration in PE. But in the math classroom he was a wiz and would help a lot of people out with their work after he finished his.
He's a musical savant. Look it up and he admits it on his website. Doing this song is like tying your shoes. He literally can learn a song in seconds. Some people see it as talent. I think its unfair. He is a musical genius without trying. Thats not talent
I do love Kodi! I am so humbled by his innocence and his talent. He is so talented, but doesn't even have the capacity to have an ego about it. It is pure, unadulterated talent and pure innocence. I am brought to tears every time I watch Kodi perform. I love when he is through giving such a breath-taking performance and then he claps for himself with the excitement and innocence of a child. He is truly amazing! I just love him! Also, his mom deserves a medal for mothers if there is such a thing. What an incredible woman!

Ne1tu Awesomeness! Yes it gives me hope as well. People need to start seeing the abilities and not the disabilities of people. Speaking as a parent of a child with autism, they have/ can do so much more than the eye or some test can see. We’ve (Society) gotta stop putting limitations on people with special needs. Kudos to you, I remember when I was a kid and helped with an autistic festival that was held every year. Even as a kid, I loved doing it because I have never witnessed the amount of appreciation that was shown at those festivals. In my honest opinion, individuals with autism are the absolute most down to earth people among us and I love it.❤️🙂

yea well you seem to have a mental disadvantage but here we are. look at you typing words n shit! :o
EK7 That’s because playing music uses a different part of the brain
Not only that but hes a real rare guy too. If you do a little research on him you'll find hes one of 7 people in the world considered to have perfect pitch. He can play a bunch of instruments and speak other languages. But that's how autism works. Where something might lack other things excel. A movie called the rain man is about a similar guy who had many disadvantages but had a photographic memory and could read two pages in a book at once.

@@tristancoveny7664 I bet you he'd probably would have had a harder time with all his senses intact. I mean, we that have everything we know we are blessed but guess what, we use our sight to judge others and even worse, to judge ourselves. @Chris Luna EXACTLY. TY DUDE. I'm sorry. Say I'm a dick Idc. But let's spit facts for a second. Yes, what he does is amazing, especially w/ his disability, but he's not as good as most of the people on the show this year. Personally, I liked Robert Finley. Nobody has created music like that since the legendary Otis Redding. He was sensational. And he's gone. That's the thing about this show. It's not America's Got Talent anymore. It's America's Got Sympathy. He's getting pity votes. Which is shitty. If he DIDN'T have a disability, people wouldn't be going as crazy about him as they are. I'm a musician myself all my life, and when I hear music on this show, I close my eyes. He doesn't even compare to Robert's soul, or to Benicio Bryant's lyricism. That's what the sad part is. As I said, I don't knock him at ALL, he's a gift and a blessing. But, there are much more talented people on the show, and they're being underdogged because he has a disability. It's just not fair.
What's amazing is Callum Scott was amazing in BGT and now people are singing his songs on AGT!!!! Congrats to Kodi for killing this song and way to go to Callum for making it this far!
