Racism is everywhere... It's hard to find a country where one will not face racism... So rhe thing is you can't judge a country by this fact only.... Each country has its good and bad facts... I am not defending those racists.. But m just saying. You should try to ignore these and njoy your trip.. Or if they do smthng extreme just give them a proper ans so they will shut up or complain to the police..

Its Disappointing that you guys had to face Racism. Sometimes its just about the upbringing and how an individual behaves with a person with distinct features. Unfortunately our fellow North East countrymen also have to face Racism because they look different. This happens everywhere there is Ignorance and lack of socio cultural harmony.

NE people who go to (?mainland?) for studies or do low paid service jobs has received the most harrasment and exploitation (rent and so on). The situation is worse on the North than in South. Northerners have that sense of superiority especially delhi. South is a lot better, it's mostly mild and harmless ignorance (lack of education I guess) from rural people who thinks we are some foreigners from China or Nepal.
