      Me too! My favorite animal is the Giant Otter. When I had the chance, I bought the replica Giant Otter skull from Dinosaur Corporation. I have multiple videos of it, if you're interested.

    What's the cheapest source for unusual/impressive skulls?

    • @TheSkullSeeker
      @TheSkullSeeker  Рік тому +1

      Anything from China. For $35 you can get a foot-long Freshwater Crocodile skull from AliExpress. I got a $60 Great Barracuda skull and $20 Largehead Hairtail skull from there. On eBay, I got a Red Fox, Arctic Fox, and Tanuki skull for $14 each. On Etsy, I got a 10 inch African Sharptooth Catfish skull for $50.
      Of course, the absolute cheapest is going to a lake and looking for old eagle kills. I've obtained tons of catfish, gar, and other fish skulls from local lakes around me. I've even found a catfish skull over a foot long!

      @@TheSkullSeekermy only concern with going the China route is I'm picturing some really bad ends for lots of dogs and cats. I guess we pay a premium for skulls that are from the Fido's of the world who died in their sleep next to their favorite pillow...

      I do have an update of this video now: ua-cam.com/video/nnilvYw9vR8/v-deo.html
      The ones I really want that I still don't have are the Muntjac, Komodo Dragon, Bobcat, American Badger, Sea Otter, pretty much any type of catfish, venomous snakes, and Tasmanian Tiger. I don't mind if any of those are replicas, though I would prefer the Bobcat, Badger, and Muntjac to be real.

    How does bro get these? I just imagine bro finding dead animals, brings it home, waiting for the animal to decay, chops off the body and throws the body away , then the sharks? Does he go snorkeling or does he find the fead bodys of sharks on the shore?

    • @TheSkullSeeker
      @TheSkullSeeker  4 місяці тому

      Bro mostly buys online. Bro also keeps clean skulls he finds. Bro found five gigantic catfish skulls and is cleaning, degreasing, and whitening for the first time. Bro is learning. He is becoming too powerful to exist in this mortal realm. All will succumb to bro's infinite power.

    Nice collection, my collection is a lot more modest. Some of those need bleached, just boil them in bleach water for 30 min. If they're not too fragile. Where did you get most of these?

    • @dallas.is.a.loser13
      @dallas.is.a.loser13 Рік тому

      peroxide works better and will cause less damage over time. bleach will cause the skulls to disintegrate

    • @liammahoney5644
      @liammahoney5644 Рік тому

      Definitely don’t do that. Bleach actually dissolves bone. You’ll pull it out after 30 minutes, let it dry, then discover the bone has become brittle and chalky in some areas. The better thing to do is let it degrease in acetone or ammonia for several days to weeks (neither will harm bone). After degreasing, soak in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 24 hours and it will be good and white. Only caveat is that any superglue you’ve applied to the skulls will be dissolved in the acetone or ammonia.

      Mix 1 gallon of water and 1/4 cup Sodium Carbonate in a pot.
      Bring the water and Sodium Carbonate to a full rolling boil.
      Place the skull into the water mix and bring it back to a rolling boil (do not boil at a hard boil) and boil for 30mins and do not keep it in the boil for over 30mins otherwise it'll become brittle and shrink

    • @ch3m1c4l_c0ff1n
      @ch3m1c4l_c0ff1n 10 місяців тому

      Dont boil bones. If you found some and they are mostly cleaned you can soak them in water wish dawn dish soap mixed in (no boiling the water). After they sit some you could gently scrub them with an old toothbrush if they need it. To whiten them soak them in hydrogen peroxide
