@yocs_nav thanks man it was a successful pour i was ready to keep pouring until I got a 2nd one that was better than the first but realized that I was being to critical of my own self.
@@TheBrokeStacker thanks Broke. You make it look easy. Thanks for all the live pours you do. It helped me understand the process. It only gets better from here
Tremendous first run! Pour like a pro. I am getting ready for my first "poor man's" crucible pours. I will get a forge, but probably propane for the versatility that the containers provided versus electric. Really terrific video. Very calming teacher's voice. TY for sharing.
@silversleuth007 thanks for the input. I enjoy making hand crafted stuff myself and making videos so I can share it with everyone else that's interested.
@larrydowning8714 Thanks, Larry. I had fun pouring them and learned a few things, too. I did get frustrated once, but who's counting? i figured it out.
@Jack_Stacks Hi Jack_Stacks good to see you popping in. I sure have and will be having lots of fun making all kinds of pours and bars. It was not as intimidating as I thought it would be.
@MetallyCorrupted thanks for checking out my first silver pour. I will be keeping track of the condition of my crucible so I don't nuke my furnace. I heard about what happened to your last ToAuto on the MSJ livestream. Thanks for sharing about what happened to you. Glad you are ok. I will be pouring some copper soon.
Awesome first pour! Are you using the 3kg crucible or was that the 2kg you bought? I’ve found that using the 3kg is better than the 1kg it comes with because it gets hotter. When the top is not glowing red it likes to stick. The 1kg is very hard with silver. I assume the 2kg is a smaller diameter than the 3kg as well. It’s tough with the 3kg because it’s so long but it being wider makes it hotter. I’m still figuring out the TuAuto myself. I have heated up the end with a touch once but I’ve found if I don’t open the lid until I’m ready to pour the top is hotter. You did great on the first silver pour ever. Very nice job. It definitely takes some getting used to but you made that look like a pro. Keep working at it and you’ll be a pro in no time.
A little tip: the melting pot is too big, it's only really hot at the bottom and not at the top. That's bad for pouring because the metal cools down when pouring and can't tile properly
Really cool great job
@@Darkscoy thanks buddy I might try pouring some copper today after church and see how the schedule permits
Very nice

@b.h.customs2596 thank you. I really liked the first one but the 2nd gave me a hard time and I now need to get some small punches to label them.

@@CapitalCurrency thanks Cap C. I am going to find some shot as near to spot as I can. I don't want to melt my stack. Then I'll pour some more.
