Snowshoeing in Alpine County, CA. Stanislaus National Forest. Christmas Day 2022.

Here's a video of our first time hiking on snowshoes. We first walked around in Bear Valley then headed down to Lake Alpine via Ebbetts Pass Road (SR4). Very nice day with temperatures about 60F. The Bear Valley ski area operates an extensive system of groomed trails for cross county skiing and snowshoeing. A pass ($40 for adults) is required. We decided to go with the free option in the national forest.
