Thanks for a wonderful detailed video, certainly it is helpful for me. In addition,Compared to SMA connectors, SMB connectors are easier to connect and install.and have you tried elecbee connector from China?
The SMB connector used on the CT27UV70 is a Female. You would need to check the connector on the head unit that you have or are looking to use to make sure this fit. Thanks C2
Does this antenna works better than the stock DAB+ antennas like CT27UV62? Please can you tell us the positive and negative comments to compare? Which one does have the best reception and why?
Hey, This antenna wont work as good as the UV62 which has a more wider frequency bandwith, but is good for a less stressful installation as there is no grounding strip to attach to the metal of the pillar as it is amplified through its coaxial cable C2
Hi great video can you tell me if it matters which way up it should be as I've just ran the cable through to the stereo but it was easier for me to have the actual antenna going down instead of up. Thanks
Hey, It shouldn't theoretically matter, as long as you have the antenna applied three quarters of the way up the windscreen and away from the heating elements, the signal should come through, if you do experience any signal difficulties, do message our tech department over at support.connects2.com C2
So... Does the head unit dump +ve down the coax, or does the active antennae take its supply from elsewhere? How important is it that the screen is clean before sticking the antennae into place?
Hey assistantto007, The antenna does draw +ve through its coaxial cable, and with this antenna I would probably advise that you give it a little rub down to ensure that it stays on longer, rather than having chunks of god knows what underneath allowing air to dry out the adhesive pad, rendering its stick ability null and void. Hope this helps, C2
Hey JC, Apologies for the delayed response, yes this could ideally be mounted horizontally. the main thing is that it should not be mounted on anything like heated elements or the like Best, team social @C2
Hi Coonect2 Situation... I have a BMW E46 Coupé and it has a quad core Android head unit, i builded a dab+ box with a FM/DAB monkeyboard and it works well on one exception... It receives the dab signals quit bad when driving , only nearby the city i have soms reasonble reception with a window antenna on the right side. I have some ideas to improve the reception... To improve the reception, i want to buy 2 DAB antennas, on each side of the window, ain't that better than one antenna? Or i can place them in to my front bumper? It's getting off for some repairs so i could take advantage of it to mount that in to the bumper (one left and one right) And finally, what about the power, i don't think my DAB monkeyboard gives the voltages to feed the antenna because it came with an simple antenna. What is your advise about this setup? Greetings :)

Great video. What type of SMB is it that fits over the SMB on the back of the Pioneer head units?

THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. BUT WHERE DOES THE ANTENNA GETS ITS NEGATIVE/GROUND SUPPLY? AND WILL WILL WORK WITH PIONEER DOUBLE DIN HEADUNITS?
Hey,
This antenna has its own centre core power so it doesn't have any negative/ground supply,

Can it be mounted horizontally along the roof liner?
