Mum just flew back to Thailand. 3 amazing weeks has been passed by so quickly and I do miss her already :)

Good morning Fancie, this last video with your mother was beautiful and sad! It was great how you made that last trip to go visit Wuxi together. You shared every minute of that experience. I like how you travel there on the train and the cost of it. I enjoyed watching you experience the bowl of soup and letting him decide what flavor for you. That was nice as you were pleased with the taste and how those things looked like two big eggs. Then that nice conversation with the older man. Then that beautiful cable ride and the peaceful gardens. I know that truly meant a lot to share that with your mother. I know that ride to the airport was very hard for you inside. I know that it is hard to be alone once again there in Shanghai. You are a strong beautiful woman, who is living your own life. Nevermind, Bangkok and Shanghai is only a few hours flight unlike me, who is living in Australia to my home country of Malaysia. A good 7.5 hours. Sticky rice and black sesame, are one of my Chinese favorites! I like to have that when I go to Qi Bao Lu in Shanghai. Have you been to Qi Bao Lu? If you haven't check it out with an empty stomach. I was a bit sad when I watched the end of your video. I am sure a woman as beautiful and intelligent as you could find a nice boyfriend without even trying.

How long is the train ride from Shanghai to Wuxi? You should look for a place where lots of expats hang out on Fri evenings or the weekends 😅

The train from Shanghai to Wuxi is around 50 minutes :)
how do you find restaurants/ cafes to visit in china? since google maps doesn’t work there it is really hard for me to find cool spots to go… can you recommend me a map app that works in the country?
I normally use Xiao hong shu (Chinese's instagram app) so I just type in the keyword like "Shanghai" or "Wuxi" and there are many interesting locations pop up where locals are actually going. Then there are links directly to the map app then you can travel there. Hope this helps!

Around 40 minutes for the round trip and yes you can go there alone, many people were sitting alone on that day!
