Analysts at the time thought this draft was fairly weak. Kyrie was the one guy who was seen as a potential star, with the rest of the draft being filled with a lot of solid role players, and that's it. Boy were they wrong. A lot of really good players came out of this draft.

Underrated to be precise. It was lowkey superstars filled fly under the radar back then. None of them were expected to be what they are today, not even Kyrie (given he was from Duke, and the majority of Duke alumni, aside of Grant Hill, rarely made it big in NBA).
