I also think that the quality of X-Trail's high mount lamp is not good. There seems to be a problem with the manufacturer that designed and produced it, but it's good because it can be replaced relatively easily.
I noticed the same light on my 2012 T31 Xtrail was cracked just recently and water was getting in from rain. Thank you so much for showing how to replace this! Love your channel and other videos, looking forward to making some of the same modifications
I'm glad I could be of help to you. The high-mounted lamps on the X-Trail t31 don't seem to have a long life. The blinker lens next to the fender is the same. Needs to be checked regularly.

Looks like you did a good job.
My T31 is equipped with spoiler, the apolier also protects the stop lamp from direct exposure of sunlight and rain.
Certainly, if it has a spoiler, it seems to be able to protect the high mount stop lamp. If I hadn't installed the rear ladder, I would have attached it.

I did exactly same, replacing the third stop lights 6 month before due to cracks. I bought third party stopping lights because Nissan genuine parts was way too expensive. The one I got didn't have an adhesive tape on it. So I used double sided tape instead. But l found some water leaking to inside of my t31when it's raining. So I had to apply silicon gap filler to stop it. I should have bought genuine one....
It can only be called a disaster. Since genuine products emphasize quality, the price will be high. Many aftermarket products cannot be picked up and checked, so the quality cannot be checked. It is better not to buy it in the long run.

こんにちは！T31.20G乗りです！
ラゲッジで雨漏りしたことがあって見てみたらハイマウントストップランプの割れと接着部分の経年劣化が原因でした！
何かT31型で昔、ハイマウントストップランプのリコールがあったようですよ！
リコールについて調べてみました、確かに期間内であれば新品交換をしてくれるようですね。
ですが、残念ながら私の車体番号は含まれていませんでした。

How did you mount the laser on the back of the trunk? where are the wires conected to ? thank you.
I removed the plastic panel, drilled holes to pass the wiring through, and screwed it in place. I connected the wiring to the ACC power supply and added a switch so I could turn it on and off.

Does the seal on the lamp sufficient to prevent water from getting inside the car during rain ?
It has enough strength to prevent water from entering. It is probably stronger than the original.

いつも参考にさせて頂いています。
自分の車両は、恐らくリコール対策済みの様で、不具合はないのですが、取り付け部の溝？の部分の塗装がペリペリと剥がれてしまっています。
ランプを一度取り外して綺麗にしてから塗装するつもりでしたが、この動画を見る限り一度取り外すと再利用は微妙な感じですね。
ということで、早速ストップランプを手配します。
バックカメラ、そこに装着していたんですね。
自分は半分手抜き？で、ルーフ側に装着したので、荷物の出し入れの度に頭が当たり、角度が変わってしまいます。
毎度毎度、必ず何か参考点がありますね。(笑)
そうですね、ハイマウントはブチル系の両面テープの他に爪が引っかかっているので、古い物だと外す際に割れたりします。
なので新品に交換する方が安心です。
バックカメラはナンバー灯付近に純正品が付いています。
ゲート裏のパネルに付いているのは、実はカメラではなくレーザーフォグです。
夜中の登山道でバックする時に、後ろに障害物があるかどうかの確認用に付けています。
現在はワークライトがあるので必要ないですが。外す必要がないのでそのままにしています。
Is there a way to remove just the cover of the light? Mine fell off while driving and bought the part, but haven't figured how to remove the cover.
The light cover is attached with a bond, so it cannot be attached and detached by itself.
Xtrail and Note had the same designer… and the same concept for the stop light mounting…
That double side tape was hell to remove :-(
Also for waterproofing on the go, I use black paste for filling aircon hose holes in the wall of the house.
I feel that the quality of individual parts is higher in vehicles 30 years ago than now. Future vehicles that will be born in the future are not compatible with both quality and price.

同じエクストレイル乗りです。
教えて欲しいのですが215サイズのタイヤはいてますが245にしても大丈夫ですかね？ちなみにBFのタイヤにしたいと悩んでます。
ノーマル車高で245サイズを履かせると確実にインナーに干渉します。
30mmほどリフトアップしても干渉するかもしれません。
尚、ホイールとの組み合わせによってはフェンダーからタイヤがはみ出ます。
私はR32純正ホイールでオフセット+30ですが、フロントは13mm、リアが9mm出ました。
なので後付けのモールで車検対策しています。
かなり前にノーマル車高でこのBFG245/70r16を履かせる動画を投稿しているので見てください。

На моём х трейле тоже в этом фонаре зелень. Но вот ещё проблемма .
Задняя дверь в закрытом положении и сверху щель , между кузовом и дверью .
В эту щель зимой попадает снег .
И когда днём ездишь и стоит на солнце этот снег там подтаивает и намерзает ,образуется лёд !
А когда открываешь бугажник то дверью этот лед сдавливает как ножом .
Чем то надо прикрыть эту щель!
Даже если в моем районе пойдет снег, такое явление вряд ли произойдет. Но я знаю, что такое бывает. Спасибо за твёрдый совет

Is it a work light attached to the gate? The light is connected to the auxiliary battery, so it can be turned on without starting the engine.

R03.10月12日購入時点で定価14,800円でした。現在はもっと高くなっている可能性があります。
O No the light won't come on ,the bulbs are a dud from the suppliers.Can I take it off again and refit it ,or do i have to buy another ,because you did NOT tell us to test the bulbs before pressing it in onto the sealer ???
If it is a genuine new product, there will be no problem even if you do not check the lighting. Some aftermarket products are of poor quality. We recommend that you purchase genuine light bulbs. Once installed, it is difficult to remove.
