It wouldn’t really be good though, if anyone(a majority of people) realizes that we’re getting the POV of Joel’s killer, I understand the whole idea and everything but people will not like that at all and the show will lose traction and credibility
Until I watch season two and am proven otherwise, I feel that season two will be Ellie's 3 days with smaller moments of Abby. That way when season 3 happens, we get Abby's 3 days with smaller moments with Ellie (like Ellie's birthday flashback). That way audiences are familiar with both characters and get a fairly even screentime. But however it plays out this trailer looks incredible and I'm so excited!
Don't think they want a whole season retreading over the same time frame of the previous season. I bet they'll jump back and forth in season 2. Makes more sense for TV imo

I don't think the scene at 9:43 is Ellie interrogating Nora. Judging by her face, this could be when she sees a shambler appear in the subway. The lights arent flickering like when she's interrogating Nora either.
So at some point him and Tommy most go on a lookout...wonder how that works, or if Joel and Tommy bring her back to Jackson. In the original plot, they brought her to Jackson, and then she waited for her opportunity. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out!
If we are seeing Abby at her Fathers grave then they must be covering some of her back story earlier than in the game as it, had been widely reported Season two was going to cover up to Jesse’s death and the cliff hanger …. so I was expecting Abby to be in episode one and then not seen again until the final moments of the final episode of the season.
Everything they show just gets me more hyped for it, they’re not doing the bulked up Abby look & they don’t need too either as that was the least important aspect of her character, looking forward to seeing what’s the same & what’s changed.
If the producers truly stayed with the storyline as suggested by this video, then they definitely would have presented Abby in her bulked-up physique. Her physical fitness is a testament to the burning desire to get retribution against Joel, ensuring she has the physical stamina for when the time comes. During the game, her strength is highlighted in some things she has to do, including lifting heavy objects, fist fighting, prying doors open, and carrying Yara. The video game made Abby's physique central to her character, making her stand out. To ignore that in the TV show takes away one of the important traits that makes Abby who she is.
@ they’re not the same thing, staying true to the story doesn’t mean Abby has to be a huge buff girl, there are other ways to show her obsession with Joel without having her live in the a gym, the fact that the creator & show runner cast a below average size girl just proves that they went a little overboard in the game, again her huge size was the least important aspect of her character

I'm blind,, I think I could sometimes hear Bellas accent blead through in the first season, that's completely understandable as it's not easy changing your accent, but I do like her in the show. I like how they stick to the story but at the same time add extra bits when needed. I love the backstories for a lot of characters and think that we're going to really be hit in the feels for Abby this go round. I'll admit, the first time I played tlou 2, (I had to play it first due to accessability for the blind being added,) it was fun, I don't remember how I felt about Abbby back then but I played the release of TLOU 1 on ps5 and honestly, I didn't feel that close to Joel. Oh don't get me wrong, Troy and Ashley are amazing actors and in the moment i'm sure I felt emotions But when he died I didn't care to much, but Ashleys acting? Amazing!
Bella was fine for season 1, I actually enjoyed her acting but for season 2 it looks so wrong. It’s like if there was a Batman movie where he’s played by a 15 year old boy but everyone else are adults including his love interest. I just wish they recasted for the time skip. As for the cinematography? It’s looking beautiful. My biggest worry is they’ll rush it. For all the good season 1 did, everyone I know that didn’t play the games beforehand felt it was super rushed and didn’t feel very attached to the characters. This could be good and bad. Good: People won’t be as attached to Joel so… Bad: People won’t be as attached to Joel
The good news is Neil and Craig have said Part 2 will take place over 3 seasons, so it seems like they're addressing a few of the complaints people had from Season One!

I love how people seem to think what looks fantastic in a video game is going to look fantastic in live action. I do doubt that Dever is going to "get bulked up" just for a show she won't be on long while she has other projects lined up. It's just not feasible. So pleas stop.

Bulking up in a post pandemic situation like she does in the game would be harder than in reality, but it's possible for someone who spends most of their time in the gym lifting and knows about healthy eating for weight lifters, so let's assume that where she lives, the football stadium, with all the weight lifting equipment is where she spends a lot of time, and gets training tips from the men who live there too.
What ruined the show was the actors choice imo. Joel in game is rugged, thick voiced with a look of "few moral lines left to cross" as it's said in the grounded documentary. I like Pedro Pascal but he didn't portray Joel in that way. Ellie of course was the worse sadly and that was partly from how they had her act. Bella Ramsey was very good in GoT in my opinion but in TLoU, her inbred 17th century jaw line and the annoying voice ruined it.
Maybe they will end the season with Jesse dying just like part 2 with Abby and Ellie's parts. Idk.
