The endless knot or eternal knot is a symbolic knot and one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols. It is an important symbol in both Jainism and Buddhism. It is an important cultural marker in places significantly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism such as Tibet, Mongolia, Tuva, Kalmykia, and Buryatia. It is also found in Celtic and Chinese symbolism.

Just a heads up, after 2:38, you skipped a step. The step to get the intersections used to draw diagonal lines through the middle. If anyone else needs that step, you just put the compass at the bottom of the circle, in the middle, and make an intersection on the diagonal lines, then place the compass at the top of the circle, in the middle and do the same.

at about 2:36 marks appear halfway along the sides of the square - measure from anywhere on the square to the centre, then from the corners to get exactly half way along the line without measuring it hth
