Hey! i really loved how organized your work is and how you follow these steps to not mess things up. By the way, would it not be easier if you made the shoe a child of the lower leg. That way you'd probably only have to animate the rotation values of the shoes and not the position. Also we could copy the keyframes from the hand 1 to hand 2 after hand 1 was done animated. Great tutorial though.

Wow, I'm trying to follow along, but this is super complicated. Fascinating, but complicated. I wish you were describing things as you went along because I'm lost on the leg work. :( I wonder if this wouldn't be an easier process using Adobe Animate?

I think character riging in aftereffect takes much time than it should be while other programs like moho can do this easier

Hey, can you maybe help me? My problem is that the puppet pins dont move with the object. They are like stationary, so when I somehow move the shoe away the pins just stay in that location where the shoe used to be. Im confused.

i have parented my shoes layer to leg layer .. when i apply puppet pin on the shoe it doesnt follow along for the rest of the motion also it twitches and glitches.. how can i correct it mate

what format should this animation be saved as? it is too large as avi extension. any idea? thanks.
Quicktime has options for a smaller file. Also, exporting through Media Encoder makes other options available and just importing the AE file into Premiere will render out most formats.

3d track your footage , create solid and camera and put your animation in the solid comp. But it will look flat image walking in real world (not realistic). Watch some videos on 3d camera tracking in Ae.
It will be more realistic if you add more detail like shadow on your animation and assets as well follow the footage you shot
