- Its been more than 10 years since the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and now scientists are seeing the long-term impact of the damage. While RESTORE money is being used to help restore marine life.
Why did it take 86 days to plug up the oil spill.
Come on people, we are better than this. Its soul-crushing, really.
for the same reason(s) why our 2 week lockdown lasted for more than 120 weeks. incompetent reactions due to unpreparedness, gov’t red tape & the US Dollar.
It was deeper than anything the companies had prepared for and because the BP employee in charge refused to enable the built in cutoff when the blowout happened the pipe was very jagged. The QA manager should be in prison.
@@buckshot6481why did he refuse to enable it?
@@CCxXMUSICxX money. literally. it was saving a few thousand...a literal drop in the bucket for BP.
Wow, what a coincidence! An oil spill of about 400 tons of crude oil occurred recently in Singapore, S.E. Asia - June 2024 and it was the 1st time the oil slick wasn't able to be contained fast enough, spreading and was washed ashore, staining the small city-state's coastlines and seashores. What horrendous environmental disasters!
Great info; wish youtube would show in more results instead of much dumber videos they promote.
They wont... most people love watching trash nowadays unfortunately. And clickbait is the new normal
And racist brainwasheing political agendas. Videos, we don't even search for or even related to our searches.
Still so sad to this day . 😢
5million gallons guess again. More like 200million gallon.
She said 5 million barrels
She did say Barrels but 210 million gallons looks A LOT worse!
Bp owes the world all its proceeds for the next 50 years damn crooks
Not saying it is good but I heard the fisheries recovered due to stopping the fishing
Do yourself a favor. Don't eat anything out of the Gulf. I know.
How about a pump with a filtering system that can draw the sea water in an and trap the oil, instead of just letting the oil settle on the bottom, more must be done,
How about stop pumping oil we really don't need it the world is electric now
Didnt all those hurricanes help push all that oil out?
Bullshit th3y didn't even go look for the 11 victims that died pisses me off
They were more than likely cremated by the fire and washed into the ocean when it sunk so there wouldn’t be anything to look for.
@@irishXxXmaniac true it just made me sad this happened:(
They did search
Yes they did . They had coast guards looking for them but since there was an explosion there was not much to look for
so bad, not watchable.
You know how to prevent this..... just stop pumping oil
