Thanks a million very nice points and explanation.for example the difference between clean and clean up,clear and clear up ...these are very nice points.
Love your videos. Gray job guys ❤❤❤ I am 50 yr old, still learning English. I am happy to find your channel. My household chores starting by picking up off on the tables and sofas. I live in a simple house, so I just sweep, no vacuum or hoover and givee a surface a good wipe until the place is spotless. Then clean up the kitchen and do the washing up. Once all is done, i sit down on the couch for decompres, siping my tea and nibble the biscuits. ❤ Hope my sentences are correct 😊
Wow - thanks for writing so much and sharing with us! You did a great job! Many of your sentences are correct! The only main change I would suggest is: "I start by [picking things up off] the tables and sofas." :)
Wow!!❤❤ This episode is so interesting, stunning that I even don't noticed how it finished. It's cool I coudn't tell the difference between up and off. Now I can 😊😊
watching your videos for the second time so that I can have these phrases in my own conversation with othera and your videos about daily routine have consumed much of my time as I have watched them so many time repeatedly
I enjoy watching your videos and have found them helpful in improving my English speaking skills. The friendly chat between the hosts makes it feel like I am chatting with friends, which makes learning English less burdensome. Additionally, I have learned several useful phrasal verbs and common usages from your conversations. I look forward to watching the next new episode. Thank you!
that's a such interesting lesson.because it brings me back to the story. i think at the beginning i am kind of like Mark very clean. like making sure the nooks and crannies in the house are cleaned and everything is spotless. but nowdays i am more like kate. just enough to feel clean .take it easy . i don't have to make myself exhausted but i do really enjoy the moment when the house is just cleaned. that's really nice .
Thanks for sharing and well done using lots of the vocabulary from this episode! I think a lot of the time I aim for the 'bare minimum' and just make sure there's nothing on the floor, then finally it's time for 'a proper clean' and I clean deeply and get into all the nooks and crannies.
Thank you guys, you both have like a perfect method to learn english, i love American accent and it is easier and i feel it with a special flow in my perception, but we need to listening British accent, because of we need to be ready to understand all kind of accents, i think this method is helping me a lot and improving my skills, Thank you again guys.
Oh my gosh, my house is such a tip. It 's a quite bit of an exaggeration 😂. You know all the weeks, i was supposed to clean but i escaped from it. So in the weekend, that's usually when i catched up on all the chores i missed out on over the week. Friday evening, the house is kind of mess with stuff everywhere, so i usually start by picking up things off the floor. Once everything is picked up and i've cleared off the tables, i get the vacuum out and start vacuuming up all the dust.then i liked to give the common areas like the kitchen, living room and bathroom a quick mop . It doesn't have to be spotless just enough to feel clean.
Haha wow - thank you so much for your long and detailed comment, and well done for using so many of the phrases from the video! It sounds like you have everything under control ;)
I've decided right now to write a comment each time I finish a podcast episode. First thanks for your amazing work , this podcast helps me a lot , especially for understanding the meanings of phrasal verbs , which are sometimes tricky. Here is my experience with chores. I'm 24 and still have difficulties with it. My flat is often a mess but I try more and more to not let the mess build up by cleaning just after , especially when I cook or after having guests, and once a week i do a thoroughly clean up , by vacuuming ( or hoovering 😅) even the nooks and crannies and i give a quick mop on the floor as well.
😊I'm a good girl 'cause I love cleaning and tidying my sweet home but I don't catch up on doing the chores at the week-end, I prefer to do a little bit of it every time I can. I enjoy a spotless home🌈and never bear to live in a tip🌟
Amazing sentences - well done! I think you have a good strategy - just do a little bit of cleaning every day and that way you don't have to tackle *all* the chores all at once!
Although I’m not a house-proud person, I often catch up on my chores like tidying up my stuff, doing the washing up, doing the laundry, mopping on the floor but not spotless.
I have to catch up the TV this sunday Clean up, vacuum up, clear up , pick up . I clean up my room I vacuum up the dinner room I cleared up the table this morning before cleaning up. I mopped up the floor yesterday after cleaning off some baby toys .
I do the chores every day, since I’m a mom of two, once I drive to school and let the kids, my routing starts at 8:00 AM. First I check what chore needs to be done, usually start doing the dishes. Then I wipe the floor off. Gradually more chores starts showing during the day.

Hi Stella! Thanks so much for your comment - we definitely expected a lot of people to relax over the Christmas and New Year period, so well done for continuing to study when there are so many distractions around (like cake, panettone, cheese and wine!) :)

I like this one too: Instead of saying "Could you please quickly clean up the room?", it sounds more stylish to say "Could you please give the room a quick clean?"
In America you’ll more likely hear “my place is a bit of a dump” for really dirty and “a bit of a mess” for less dirty (mess is American and British) Thanks for listening!

What is the meaning of catch up?
"Chores" are the small tasks or jobs that you do often, especially in your home, like cleaning or gardening.
"Catch up" means to spend time learning about what has happened since you last talked with someone, or to do tasks that you have not had time to do before.
