A Force Unleashed style video game about Luke Skywalker kicking Lumiya's and Shadowspawn's asses would be just... perfect.

I never really got into the SW 70s-80's Marvel comics, but these panels and stories are kinda neat. Im also starting to read the Legacy of the Force books so this video came out at a nice time for me. Thanks
I really recommend them. I was very hesitant to get into them at first, but they can be really good.
@@sonofluke3172 Im on the fence as I am interested in Lumiya, The Mandalorians, Fenn Sysha along with Cronal and the comprehensive list he leaves for Lumiya makes it easy to collect those stories. Im intrigued for sure.
@@sergioruiz733 readcomicsfree.com I’d recommend reading them. The early issues are very good in my opinion. After you move past Empire Strikes Back, they get stale and the creativity of the stories goes down. It gets better near the end of the run with Lumiya and the Nagai-Tof war but overall, I think it’s worth the read.
@@sergioruiz733 Darth Caedus is what Kylo Ren should have been. So is Darth Krayt. I recommend them as well. Very good reads, I just dislike Darth Sidious return during the Dark Empire.
This entire story should have been the damn Sequel Trilogy. Not whatever the hell Disney gave us.

Lumiya could've continued the Sith legacy even after Palpatine and Vader's deaths. Granted, the Force would still be out of balance because of this scenario.
well...there's Darth Krayt, so yeah, I think the sith would still continue to exist and come back.

I refuse to believe she wanted Jacen to be a Sith (Vergere) we only have lumnyias word. I believe vergere worked with lumniya but not that she was grooming him. I believe her unique philosophy was her view of things.
So what would vergere want of jacen then?

Look I'm not saying that my idea is perfect but it's really frickin frustrating to retcon her motivations. And again we really only have Lumnyias word. We have no one else to verify her story. Bit Vergere is a hot Button for Jacen. It makes sense for lumniya to twist the truth with half truths as all sith Do to get Jacen closer to the dark side. I mean it wasn't even really vergeres teaching that got him closer to the dark side.
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 I believe vergere saw the hypocrisy of the Jedi and left. And then came upon palps trained with him. Realized how crazy he was and went to run away. So now she's seen both light and dark side operations. Palps of course wants her dead because loose end. However she then lives with the vong for Decades. Beings outside the force. I think that would change her perspective as it seems to have in Traitor. She dies in NJO. Maybe she got into contact with lumnyia for what purpose idk we only have Lumnyia to verify. So we only have her word and her word alone. However vergere seemed to not believe in light side or dark aide anymore. Sith don't think like that. So I'm completely willing to accept the fact that lumnyia is simply telling half truths and we will never know the full story.

Tadd this is some good stuff I myself have been an expanded universe fan since I was 8 years old so I know the difference between Legends and Canon I love Legends more than anything the stories are deep and you keep the continuity together the people I like to listen to on the UA-cam channel is Matt Wilkins and Ryan from RK Outpost but mostly if I really want to hear more deep expanding universe stories I think your channel's number one
Well, Ryan does different stuff now unfortunately. You should also check out bigger channels like Eckhardsladder (he does some stuff from new canon but he's mostly about legends), Corey's Datapad and evanova95. I'm kinda pissed off however that none of them has mentioned the EU webside, which deffinitely deserves more popularity, so does Matt.
@@emzonik8851 very true and I do watch his channel sometimes Ryan now is doing other stuff now but Matt Still does the expanding universe a lot of these UA-camrs. Eventide mention Matt Wilkins before so these two are actually the ones keeping the expanding Universe alive Buffalo other UA-cam channels I don't even know what they're doing right now because some of them don't even know Darth Maul's origin story
@@independentscope6470 Well the EU is pretty much fine, I don't think they're keeping it alive. I guess that all of aware fans at least know that there are 2 sw universes, one inactive. Even Disney keeps Legends sort of alive, thay have this epic collection and relaunch some books every now and then. But I hope somebody will allow to continue it, maybe in 2024, 10 years after the creation of new continuity.

If Disney was competent in getting people to actually make shows or films I'd suggest one with Lumiya, Mara, and Galen as the main trio for their new canon.
Jacen "Cheated"? The duel was in a tunnel system which Mara had time to familiarise with and she was used to fighting like this thanks to her "Emperor's Hand" training. And Jacen is the one who cheated?
He used the force to change his face to resemble Ben's in order to distract Mara, then stabbed her with a poison dart. Mara was ready to land the killing blow when this happened, so yeah, I'd say Jacen cheated.

Also, when you say cheated (especially without starting the other factors), it sounds like Jacen is weaker than Mara, which she herself says isn't true
@seekerofnothingness the book portrayed otherwise, seems to me she kicked his ass. She collapsed a tunnel on top of him, shot him, cut him up pretty bad and depleted most of his energy.
Maybe by your standards, he didn't "cheat" but when you're making a half hour video about a character who wasn't even present for the duel (remember this video is about Lumiya) and are just explaining the duel to provide context, "he cheated" is a sufficient simplification. I didnt need to go full in depth on the duel for this video, the mention of it is to provide context. I go more in depth on the Kavan duel in my Mara Jade video and eventually, when I make a Jacen Solo video.

In the sources you’ve put in the description there are the original Marvel comics. But the original Marvel comics weren’t in the Secondary Canon?
Lumiya is C canon because of her appearance in Legacy of the Force, the marvel stories she appears in don't conflict with most c canon material either
Hey tadd, watching this, it brought up a major question in terms of the lore heirarchy:
You use the old marvel comics for most of her early stories and for the stuff in between ESB and ROTJ, but doesnt Shadows of the empire conflict with a lot of the stuff involving rogue squadron and Luke's relationship with her?
The marvel comics are S Canon however the issues Lumiya appear in are C Canon as they are mentioned in the Legacy of the Force books. The issues lumiya appear in don't seem to inherently conflict with SOTE or the Rogue Squadron games when I was reading them.

I know it’s kind of irrelevant, but how legends friendly would you say a game like Jedi Fallen Order is, and how could it fit into the EU with what TCW references it may have?

I have played some part of it and watched it on YT, so here's my anwser: It woyldn't fit well. As far as I know there are many refferences to rebels, the disney's trilogy (it's not a sequel for me) as well as to the stuff new Marvel comics do, but the biggest contradiction are Inquisitors. The Inquisitors in the new canon are nothing like what they are in Legends, in the old canon they don't wear any official armour and have different lightsabers whatever each of them wants to use (those spinning things are kinda cool but don't exist in legends). Their structure and hierarchy is different as well as far as I'm concerned. Actually I don't think that disney's version of inquisitors is worse, but overall I follow legends canon, so no Rebels or Fallen order.
I forget why jacen wanted to hide his family from people knowing. The new jedi order didn't care about relationships. Was it political?
Yeah, Jacen and Tenel Ka weren't married and Jacen wasn't royalty so their relationship was super scandalous to the Hapans. If their relationship got out, they would have diposed Tenel Ka or at least Alana wouldnt be recognized as a legitimate heir.

@@Manda-LORE it's called mandalorian rising. I put cad bane in it. But it's not the same cad bane from the clone wars. I did what filioni would do when he brought in eu characters but reversed. Cementing the fact that tcw is s Canon.
@@stranglestrong Interesting, I would still have Cad Bane during the clone wars as a recurring antagonist, and maybe a rival to Durge the character who Bane replaced for his debut.
@@jediknightjameslunagazer7632 not a bad idea. Mine is set during 16 bby. It takes a little bit to get going because I had to set up the story. Pretty much like any novel. But once it gets going it's fast pace and brutal. I wanted to get back to the kinetic energy of the clone wars 03. Pacing was important as well so it doesn t get boring. And having tension during the fights. I really wanted to get away from side kicks and protecting a child. I didn't want to get away from him bounty hunting. So you gotta build a story around that.

To be honest, I don't like Lumiya that much and think she overstayed her welcome by escaping Luke for so long.

Yeah, Luke's compassion is what makes him so great, despite him having an insta-kill weapon like a lightsaber. However, he could have incapacitated and taken Lumiya alive several times, at least in my opinion.

I mentioned his lightsaber because it's both a more standout feature of his character at a glance, and because it's a voluntarily part of his character. It's much easier for Luke to renounce a lightsaber than the Force, which is as much a part of him as his own limbs. Also, "it wouldn't have served any good to lock her up" is a bit contradictory to your earlier point about Luke not wanting to take a life. At which point, the only deliberate option is to willingly let her go, which would also be antithetical to Luke's cause.
Why are you saying "su cuy" instead of "su cuy'gar"? Isn't that an incomplete greeting?
Its interchangeable. Su'cuy Gar is formal while Su'cuy is informal. Its like saying "hi" instead of hello. There are instances of characters using just "su'cuy"
