I actually really love the small art. I would personally add a couple family photos around it or even some landscapes in those gold hearth and hand frames (the ones they have currently at target) and create a gallery wall moment rather than one large piece so you can change it up as you feel you need a change! Love the refresh!
I like a more simple look, so I don’t think I’d do a gallery wall. But I have thought about getting some of those frames to put on the nightstands, or to hang in the awkward corner between the window & tv 😊

I do like the new refresh of your bedroom. I think mirrors over your nightstand would look beautiful! Maybe a nice portrait of all your family & kind of big in the middle! Rectangular mirrors or art over the nightstands and something circular over the bed. I'm imagining a grand greenery wreath. It could even be switched out with the seasons.
I think a wreath is more of a farmhouse vibe, and that doesn’t reflect my current style. Although I did add a red wreath at Christmas time 😊

I would suggest rectangular mirrors behind the side tables to hide the electrical box. Then put some time of art work above the head board. Perhaps some abstract shapes in the color scheme you want.

hang the art with a offset towards your bed table and then get a small art behind your lamp which is partly covered behind your bed table lamp, like 30-35 prosent of the new small art behind the lamp. think that would make it all come together pretty nice, with the art you already have above your bed, but put it offset above like the mid off your side of the bed. and maybe a big green plant beside your bedtable infront of the energy outlet which kindof stretched the room up

That is my colours also Megan. Love beige, taupe, white some light grey, I find it calming. Bright or dark colours drives me crazy.
I feel the same way! I like color, but not in my furniture/decor. It feels too busy if there’s a lot of color around 😊

Definitely consider mirrors hanging over your nightstands. I so love that rug!!!, I actually purchased some baskets for my granddaughter’s playroom just like that rug. They look so nice that I need to purchase a couple more from TJ Max but most likely they be sold out 😢! Once you decide what you want to do on that wall, it’s will be a huge refresh to your room❤❤❤❤❤

Love, love the refresh! All the changes you made were perfect. I’d look for some subtle artwork to go over your nightstands especially to cover your utility box. I think your headboard is high enough that you don’t necessarily need anything over it.
That’s actually one of my favorite things about the bed frame!

Megan, I love your bedroom makeover! The rug is perfect, and the way you styled the nightstands is so pretty, yet functional! I really love the lamps and the small black vase with the flowers ~ perfect! The bedding is gorgeous too! I really like that picture, but I think a picture shaped like that but a little bigger would look great! Also, a mirror above each nightstand is a great idea! ❤ I have an electrical box just like that in my hallway, and I looked for a long time for the perfect picture to hang over it. @lovinglifeasmegan It makes you wonder, doesn't it? Lol I wonder too sometimes why in some houses, the builder put outlets in strange, odd places too, where they will probably never be used!?? Oh well, we may never know! 🤔😂🤣
My suggestion for art is to buy what you love, what speaks to you, what you find beautiful. There are several artists in my family (I’m not one) and I enjoy displaying their very disparate pieces. Remember how you felt about the prints you hung in your living room? That feeling is the purpose of art. I think that frames and mats change with the times, but not real art. Hang up whatever you like, not what is trendy. I have found lovely art at thrift shops. If you hang a vertical piece over the electric box, the lovely horizontal picture either over your bedside table or somewhere else in your room. Maybe frame some of your daughters’ art? I have a picture my granddaughter painted when she was 3 framed in a high end contemporary frame that I got at a garage sale, and it’s gorgeous! One other thought to add some interest is adding some pattern in your room. I know not everyone likes pattern, but it adds so much to a room. Maybe a gray toned damask, or arabesque fabric on your lamp shades, or a pillow? Covering a lamp shade is not hard and there are many tutorials on UA-cam. And Megan, everything you do just amazes me. Your house is lovely, neat and clean, and a cozy nest for your family. Your girls are probably very proud of their home.

The room looks so nice and refresh, I think you should put an art canvas print above each nightstand and a wreath above the bed would look so nice and will go with the theme of your bedroom.

Everything looks great! I think with the larger lamps on your side tables, I would look for a nice piece of art for above the bed. The electric box cover isn’t really noticeable unless you’re standing right in front of it. I love the checked rug. I really like that type of pattern on rugs and towels. It’s hard to believe that your water issue happened in 2022! Side note- I tried the Belway fiber supplement that you mentioned in an earlier video, and, wow! I feel so much better. I’ve had many issues with my stomach, especially acid reflux, and this has really helped calm that down. Thanks for mentioning it.

I think mirrors above the nightstands would look good, ans make the room feel bigger and ceilings taller. Till Vacuum do us part has mirros above their nightstands if you wanted to see how they turned out.

I did a collage wall above our bed. A little bit or my husband and a little bit of my tastes. We love it. I would say don't go with what is trendy, go with what you like. I have such eclectic taste that my style is all over the place 😂

Megan - the room looks really nice. I do like the idea of the mirrors over the night stands..What about doing something similar like you did in the living room with the prints? That way you can switch it out in the bedroom..I like the shape of the picture but it is too small, find a frame that you like that fits then pick your own print to make it yours...Have a wonderful week Suga

I am with the mirror suggestion...one to cover the breaker box on Derek's side, the same on your side and then art (or something just textural ) over your headboard? OR you could get a larger headboard or even wallpaper...something cool that looks like cork maybe for the wallpaper?
I definitely don’t want to do wallpaper, but eventually I think I’d like to do trim work on the entire wall 🤗
What if you had a gallery wall - with a variety of prints from Society 6, Etsy, or Desenio? It would add color and interest. IMO.

@lovinglifeasmegan once you get your mirrors up take a step back. If you do decide to get one I would get a natural wood finish frame that is or a frame less painting that is rectangle with natural tone colors

I have a couple of suggestions…maybe a long shelf and you can put candles on it with hanging ivy…or put two shelves each at different heights plus you can still put the mirrors near the lamps and it wouldn’t interfere with each design…love the bedroom…but maybe some candles on some shelves would make it more cozy…looking forward to what you decide after receiving everyone’s comments…love you channel.

I’ve been having so much anxiety about what to do with the patio 😅 we actually love our furniture & the setup out there…so I’m not sure what else we could change. Except adding a sun sail for shade
@@lovinglifeasmegan hi Megan, don’t feel like you have to go out and buy anything new, a refresh can be just prepping what you already have for spring/summer like cleaning, rearranging what you already have, and just buy/add if you need or want to. A sun sail would be great for shade! I do enjoy watching anything you put out so please don’t stress! 🤗

The only thing that makes me nervous about mirrors is the placement of the breaker box, it’s pretty high up on the wall 😵💫

I think mirrors above the nightstand would be too many mirrors because you have one over the desk. Maybe try some sort of floral arrangement above the bed in plave of the picture, think green branch like arrangement, maybe even a large wreath.
